National Farmers Day!
Growing up in Acres Homes, Texas I always want to be a farmer, but we didn’t have FFA and I never knew anyone who farmed or grew veggies.

It’s still surreal that I am farming today and that it has gave me opportunities to speak on stages and visit places I never thought I would visit, but most importantly it has allowed be to give back, teach youth about agriculture with and be the agriculturalist that I wanted see as child! Thank you every who supports us by bringing our produce in their home and restaurants!
It’s the season for fresh okra! Come see us at the 4 anniversary market!
We had a great summer with our intern Jodie! Jodie is a sophomore at Prairie View A&M studying soil science!

Happy Sunday! We are set up at the @hmfarmersmarket until 1 pm today! We have collards, beets, Dino kale, sauces and spices!

Well so far we lost most of mustard greens, beets, and maybe carrots! Our collards seem to be doing ok, but they still have to make it through tonight’s freeze.🤞🏾#urbanfarming #texasfreeze #arcticstorm
