Hello Sea Dog family-
We want to share some information with you regarding a respiratory illness that is present in the greater Houston area. Atypical Canine Infectious Respiratory Disease Complex has been seen in several states over the past several months, and we have been made aware that there has been an uptick in cases in Houston. While we have not received culture results back, we have noticed symptoms in line with this illness in some of the pets in our facility. As a result, we have entered a quarantine. The health of the animals in our care remains our top priority, and we are taking steps to both proactively protect and respond to symptoms. If you have an animal in our care, you will have received several emails regarding quarantine communication.
We also feel like this information is beneficial for those of you who do not currently have pets in our care! This respiratory illness is different from kennel cough, and has a variety of symptoms that range from mild to aggressive.

About Heather and Sea Dog Animal Training

Sea Dog Animal Training was born from the ideas and training theories of voluntary participation, as applied to marine mammals. Heather's positive reinforcement training experience is heavily rooted in working with California sea lions, which are often called "Sea Dogs."

ā€‹Is your pet rambunctious? Does your pet seem to have "selective hearing"? Is your pet already pretty awesome and you want to provide advanced training as a way to enrich your pet's life? I can help!

In a study conducted by the National Council on Pet Population Study and Policy (NCPPSP), researchers found that 96% of dogs surrendered to shelters had not received any obedience training. It is my personal mission to help reduce the number of pets that are relinquished to shelters through positive reinforcement training services offered by Sea Dog Animal Training.

Whether you have a dog, a cat, a bearded dragon, a mini pig, or a parrot, my experience and training services will help transform your pet into a well mannered member of the family.
