Lamar! Lamar was one of our indoor feral cats available for adoption. We never thought he’d get adopted but we had him listed anyway.
Finally someone adopted him. He has made so much progress in such a short time in his new home! We believe he will end up turning into a friendly cat before too long. We are extremely grateful for Lamar’s adopter who believed in Lamar and trusted us. Adopted in 2024 🤎❤️

This is absolutely true. Our fee is higher when we send to other states, but it also includes transport fees. We don’t make any profit out of this, we lose money. But is it really money lost if we saved a cat’s life?
Paying an adoption fee supports rescues in covering their expenses. We're not in this to profit! Even with a $125 fee, it's not a windfall for us, but it means we've successfully helped another cat find a home! 🥰

Gilda was adopted once and returned by no fault of her own. First picture is her face on the way to (what we believed was) her forever home, and second picture is her face on the ride back to her foster home. She knew she was being adopted and she was so happy about it. And then she knew she was being returned and looked completely heartbroken.
As of today, she is still looking for her forever home. We won’t stop looking until we find the perfect, most loving home for our girl.
Gilda is a happy, friendly, dog and people-loving girl. She is adoptable anywhere in the US.

Dutch Van Darling living his best life, adopted in 2024
Dutch was found on the street in January, minutes after he was dumped by his former owners. He was paralyzed from fear. We believe they pushed him out of their car and drove away, while Dutch remained where he landed, dangerously close to traffic. A few weeks later, a young woman named Shelly noticed how exceptionally cute and sweet he was, and decided to adopt him. She was wearing this sweater (photo) with his name and face on it when she brought him home! 😻
This boy has hit the jackpot! Today we celebrate Dutch’s newfound happiness and new forever home, and we wish him the very best life. 🖤🤍
Oh the difference a loving foster home can make! A few months ago, Arthur was a sad Tom begging for food on the street. Today, he is a bright-eyed boy headed to his forever home!
Arthur couldn’t have been saved without his wonderful foster mom, who kept him safe and loved.

FIV positive and FIV negative cats can absolutely coexist
You know what really sends me into a rage? When vets teach pet parents the wrong things. Not only are they often brand new pet parents but they are trusting you as their vet to guide them on the right path. I’ll say it once and I’ll say it everyday for the rest of my life:
FIV IS NOT AIDS AND IT IS NOT EASILY TRANSMITTED.
Stop trying to scare these poor cat owners into spending loads of unnecessary money on testing and supplements and immunity boosters, and stop telling them FIV is a death sentence. FIV is spread by DEEP BITES and the mixing of blood……NOT food dishes, NOT saliva, NOT litter boxes, and NOT through the air. This old school garbage way of thinking has got to stop.
We currently have, and will always have FIV+ cats at the cafe, safely and happily coexisting with FIV- cats. This one particular vet that triggered this post, actually told our adopters to return their FIV+ cat to us, as she would soon infect their other cats. Luckily they were able to be talked off this ludicrous ledge and educated about FIV, but this will not always be the case.
If you or someone you love is using a vet who spreads this nonsense, I’d like to speak to them, and so would perfect FIV+ boy, Claudio.
Trisha the mini-panther and the magnificent Franklin have left to go to their forever homes today.
Two exceptional cats who are already loved by their adopters and will be loved hopefully until the end of their lives.
We love them both and we wish them long and happy lives.

For the last couple of days, we have been receiving angry messages claiming our post about famous actor Matthew McConaughey saying goodbye to his cat Olympia, contained fake pictures.
We would never share anything fake. Olympia was really famous actor Matthew McConaughey’s cat and here’s the picture to prove it. Happy? Don’t ever call us liars again.

Arthur’s foster mom says he loves to lounge, and even provided proof 😂
Arthur is a friendly and affectionate cat who loves to be petted. He is also very chatty. He's a bit shy at first but when he's comfortable he makes himself at home.
Arthur is FIV+, but like all neutered and friendly FIV+ cats, he is able to live with other cats.
