***Lipa’s Glamour (Franziskus x Kronborg’s Guyana) 17hh grey 2018 Danish WB mare; located in Waller, TX***

Exciting opportunity for someone looking for a TOP quality horse to produce. Glamour is a stunning athletic mare with three big gaits and a snuggle bug personality on the ground. She has schooled work through second level and some third and oozes presence.

Glamour stands great for the farrier, is the first one at the gate to greet you, and is overall very nice to work around on the ground. She does have her looky and spooky moments, so she is best suited for an experienced rider and a consistent program. Her quality also makes her a candidate for a professional or young rider to bring through the levels. Glamour loves her humans would absolutely thrive in a home with her own person to love on.

Please PM for more information.

Hi all - I’m looking for a part time groom to help me with my dressage horses in Houston near hwy 6 and I-10. Main responsibilities include grooming, handling, and tacking up my training horses (ranging from young to FEI). The ideal candidate would also be able to longe, clip, braid, wrap legs, and ride if desired. This job does not have any stall cleaning duties and can include some riding depending on experience. I am happy to do some additional training for the right motivated person but they must already have significant horse handling experience.

Pay is based on experience and can also include some exchange of training/lessons. Extra income potential for someone that can braid, clip, help at shows, etc.

I currently need someone 3-4 days/week for 3-4 hours each day; typically a couple of mornings and a couple of afternoons each week, but there is some flexibility.

Please PM if interested.

🦄 Limited lesson availability as well as partial lease opportunity on two of my favorite boys 💕

Both are solid second level school masters with plenty of show experience and are very safe but still forward and sensitive. At 15hh and 14.2 (with permanent pony card), both are nicely-suited for petite or younger riders but also easily take up the leg on a taller rider. Both ride like bigger horses and are excellent teachers.

I have limited lesson slots available on both and would consider an on-site partial lease to the right match. Showing is a possibility with a partial lease.

We are located at Hearthstone Riding Stables in Houston. Please PM for more information.

***WF Relampago, 2019 PRE Stallion by Ribera V out of RHF Isis is being offered for sale in Cypress, TX! Currently 16.1hh and eligible for ANCCE revision***

This gorgeous 3 y/o has it all: brains, beauty, and talent! He has wonderful presence and is a total charmer on the ground. He is sweet, curious, and willing to please. He has the disposition to make a lovely amateur prospect, but also the quality to be a breeding stallion. I know both his sire and dam, and he has the best of both!

We are starting him slow and steady, as we expect great things from this one. He is walk/trot/cantering under saddle and is nicely forward without being overly sensitive. He’s not spooky and has very comfortable gaits. Even during “baby moments,” he has been solid and safe under saddle. This handsome guy will be a wonderful partner for someone to bring up through the levels.

Relampago is in a facility with geldings and mares and is turned out next to geldings without issue. He loves to stand in the wash rack and be pampered, hauls well, and is just overall a very good boy, particularly for a 3 y/o stallion.

Also, check out that tail: he has the rabicano gene for a little icing on top 😍

Please PM for video and price.

Fantastic weekend at the HDS Spring Show with the KBE / Bear Riding Stables crew! As always, HDS put on a great show at Great Southwest Equestrian Center, and we all had a blast at the exhibitors’ party on Friday!

All three of my riders put out a fantastic effort, and at a show that is by far the most competitive they’ve been to. 6 rides, 6 qualifying scores, 4 firsts, and 2 seconds by very close tiebreakers! These three have fully embraced the mental component of dressage and bring incredible discipline to each ride.

Heather and Estevoau won their Training-3 class on Saturday with a 70.17% and just barely missed out on another first on Sunday by a tiebreaker with a 70%!!! They also got the dapples high point 🏆 These two absolutely adore each other, and it shows in every ride 🥰.

Maria and Ernie won both of their big First-3 classes with a 70.56% and a 67.36% 🤩. A reminder that these two hadn’t ever put on a dressage saddle at this time last year. Both horse and rider have taken to it like fish to water.

Tatjana and Fernando had a beautiful first outing at Third-3, JUST missing out on first with ANOTHER tiebreaker ride (66.13%) out of a large class Saturday. Sunday, they performed fantastically under two judges in the main ring (sometimes Fernando sees ghosts in there 👀) and topped the class with a 65.88%. This boy is as fancy as they come, but he’s a BIG boy with a lot of power to manage, and Tatjana manages to make it look easy.

In addition to wonderful performances, my students bring a wonderful supportive attitude to the barn and to the show. We had a few others from the group come out to support, and it just means the world to have such a great barn family! This sport is incredibly challenging, and having a positive support system eases the sting on the tough days and adds an extra shine to the great days!!!

Looking forward to the next one - though we will all surely melt 🥵😂

Fabulous outing for the KB Equestrians crew at the HDS Winter 🥶 Show last weekend! I couldn’t be prouder of my students and horses! And we managed not to freeze to death…
Tatjana and Fernando won all three of their classes in T-3 and 1-3, earning qualifying scores for Championships and AA High Point both days 🏆!!! Super proud of this team, particularly considering they’ve been primarily focused on jumping until a few short months ago!
and Stoli had a great weekend at 1-3, getting another score towards her bronze and towards qualifying for championships! These two always brighten my day watching them work together in the ring!
Heather piloted His Royal Highness Prince Goobs III 👑 (Estevoau) to two beautiful rides in T-3, earning two qualifying scores and Reserve AA High Point! Estevoau also was the high point IALHA horse 🥇 This big guy has been through a lot over the last few years, and it’s so wonderful to see him back in top form with his favorite gal 🤩
Our group had a blast, as always 😂, and can’t wait to see everyone in March!!! Thank you to and for putting together a wonderful show!!!

KB Equestrians has a new home - Bear Riding Stables is excited to announce our official opening to new clients!

After taking some time to upgrade an already lovely facility in Cypress, TX, we are ready to welcome anyone looking to advance their and their horse’s education in dressage. We have limited stalls and pasture boarding spots available as of January 1st.

We offer a variety of training packages to suit your particular goals and needs, all in a friendly and inclusive environment with top-notch horse care.

Our 12’x12’ stalls have a fly spray system and wide open windows for horses to take in the sights, plus our grassy paddocks have plenty of shade from the Texas sun. The covered 85’ x 230’ covered arena has newly refreshed footing that is consistently maintained, as does the outdoor full-size dressage court.

Merry Christmas, ya filthy animals🎄🎁
Ernie is either expressing his displeasure with COVID’s continued assault of our holiday season… or… maybe it’s just that he doesn’t love the Santa hat 🤔🤷🏻‍♀️🎅🏻
Either way, Merry Christmas, y’all 💕 Looking forward to ringing in 2022!

We had a great time at the Schooling Show Championships at this weekend! Our wish for cooler weather was granted and then some 🥶

Tatjana and Maria started seriously working on their dressage just a few months ago to supplement their jumping work. They were fabulous in their dressage debut, placing first and second in Training 3 and tying for second in First 3 🏆 🎉

Heather and Estevoau also had a lovely show despite a nasty cold trying to ruin the party!

I’m so lucky to have such wonderful students who are an absolute blast to work with 💕 Looking forward to a fantastic 2022 show season!

We had a great show at the USDF Region 9 Championships last week with a variety of successes! It was wonderful to experience a big and electric show atmosphere again and to see some our favorite horsey friends in one place. As always, a special thanks to the volunteers and show staff that ran a fabulous (and fun!) show - check out the axe throwing pics 😂 And a shoutout to Great Southwest Equestrian Center for continuing to spoil us with a top notch facility around the corner for so many of us!!

Emily and Stoli had two beautiful rides in the SWDC and GAIG Training Level AA Championships, putting together two of their best tests ever! While it’s hard for a little appy from the kill pen in Louisiana to best a large group of incredibly talented teams, I couldn’t be prouder of their performance this weekend. They have made so much progress this year, and Emily brings a positive and never quit attitude to every challenge 💪🏻

Heather and Estavous had their show ring debut at the open show and knocked it out of the park! Heather hadn’t shown in more than TWENTY years and Estavous in quite a few himself. They won their Training Level class on Saturday and got second in a competitive test Sunday with a 70%!!! I predict we will see this pair at championships next year kicking some butt 😎

Boeing and I continued our 2021 theme of slow and steady development at this show, coming home with new skills and insights. He is a very special boy who is still coming into his own, and I’m deeply grateful to Rebekah for encouraging a measured approach that allows him to develop at his own pace. Her support and guidance every step of the way makes all the difference 💕

*good news* Boeing discovered his talent and love for BEAUTIFUL flying changes this weekend 🤩
*bad news* he wanted to show off his new skill to the judges… at First Level… 😂

However - we still managed a 71% with some obvious bobbles and found a couple of new gears and MUCH more confidence in the ring! We are excited to go home and increase the level of difficulty as his princeliness demands 👑.

Long story short, we can’t wait to do it all again next year!!! 🎉🙌🏻🏆

Welcome home, Buddy! This big handsome dude skipped the line - there are grand plans for a dobie pup, an Italian greyhound, and another retired racing greyhound someday (bring me all the doggies 😍😂), but Buddy showed up at the barn after being found on the side of the road, and he was just too lovely and sweet to let go 🥰. He’s some kind of darling lab/hound mix, and he is an absolute doll. Princess Zoey is tolerating him nicely 😂

13 years ago while I was finishing up my masters in New Orleans, I snatched up this little dude with scraped together tip money as he was on his way back to a shady auction in nowhere Louisiana. He was a failed Mardi Gras parade horse with an ugly scar on his hind leg and no papers and limited known history. He’d been sold to a family for their little girl after his parade horse failure and quickly became a “rogue” due to his and their lack of knowledge.

I knew he was special when I first saw him prance across the parking lot with his sparse little appy tail straight up in the air. Some horses just grab you like that the moment you meet them. He knew he was special, and so did I.

He came to me extremely headshy and deeply suspicious of humans and had terrible feet to top it all off. The plan was to give him 90 days of love and training and find him a soft place to land... Within a week, he was a completely different horse, and we spent my free time between class and waiting tables riding out on the levee and through Audubon Park. Kites were his nemesis, but he had no qualms with loud and extremely close trains, zooming bikes, and honking cars (the spots always draw attention).

When it was time to graduate and move to Houston, I knew he was coming with. I spent my dedicated apartment hunting weekend finding him the perfect barn and spent an hour of the last day finding myself a place to live.

13 years later, this horse has seen me through everything and will be with me for the rest of his days. I earned my bronze medal on him and have since shared him with my students so they can learn from him too. He has been the soundest horse I’ve ever owned with the most exceptional work ethic. He is adored by nearly everyone who’s met him and wins over even the most ardent warmblood lover. We only sometimes scare the uninitiated horses in warmup rings (the spots are very confusing for some), and he is only sometimes scared of ponies that are just slightly smaller than he is.

The Spotted Wonder, Stoli, Stolichnaya, the best little horse around 🥰. May he live to be 100 and teach a hundred more how to ride 🦄

Boeing was his usual fancy self 🏆 and qualified for Regionals at First Level (now we simply MUST get over the need to carefully inspect each letter we encounter along the rail 😂)
Emily and Stoli got a qualifying score at Training Level in Emily’s FIRST ever recognized show! Love working with this pair 🥰🦄
Thank you to and for another lovely job putting on a COVID-era show where we could all have a little fun and some sense of normalcy 🙏🏻 😷 🐴

Late highlights from 2020 HDS Schooling Show Championships:

We decided to shake off the 2020 dust and join the open show at the HDS Schooling Show Camps to round out this crazy year. We came home with three blues and great scores. Emily and Stoli had their first show together - her first in several years, and his first in almost three. Boeing continues to mature and impress at First Level, and Estevoau got to see the ring again for the first time in more than three years. HDS did a great job yet again putting on the show, despite continued COVID craziness!

Looking forward to the 2021 season, masks and all!
