brown dog roaming the street and is now not letting owner get his smaller dog back as they are stuck together with a leash

12/16 Captain was moved into treatment ward and he has been nonstop vocalizing in the kennel, tense body, tigth open mouth
and dilated eyes.
12/15 Capitan walked nice today on both way out and in to the building, but same as yesterday he is extremely vocal in the run
and kennel, even covered door can not help him to be more calm.
12/14 capitan is so vocal in the kennel and run, he walked on a tight leash, pulled sometimes, treats offered but he igonered.
12/13 very vocal while in kennel

📝 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀:
12/17 When I approached to her kennel, I use baby talk and she came with me so it was very easy leash her up. She takes soft treats with soft mouth and walks with loose leash.
12/16 Approaching kennel, dog was laying down but as soon as she saw me she sat up and tucked her head in the corner. I began to baby talk her but she remained in the corner. I then lasso the leash and she walked out. She had a tucked tail with her ears pinned back, and a tense body. She walked fast and on a tight leash. I took her outside but she had no interest and began to pull me back inside with her. Due to her tense body language took her straight to her kennel.
12/15 When approaching kennel she was laying on her blanket, avoiding eye contact with her head low, as i was leashing her she was very flinchy. She walks on a tight leash pulling me forward. She presented a tensed body, ears pinned back, paw up, tail low and whale eyes. She pulled back on the leash not wanting to go into new kennel

💜 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀
Bacon was a hoot! She is sooo eager to please and SO happy. She leaned into the volunteers leg and closed her eyes while getting pet you have to watch the video! So cute. She met so many dogs and did great with every single one, however I could see her not fitting in with senior or super low energy dogs. She sat with vigor when the treats came out and I had to toss them in her mouth because she was so excited (she caught every single one — also videos!) her skin needs some TLC - it’s not awful but could definitely be better! I think she has a tiny underbite and it’s the cutest thing. When I sat down she was so excited to be close, she sat between my legs and wagged her tail. I’m hoping this happy girl makes it out of Barc alive! ❤️

Tensed body, semi loose leash when walking to outside runs, tail low, hesitant to go back into kennel

When giving a blanket and spot cleaning kennel, dog was very tense, tail tucked and hind leg lifted up close to body pressed against back wall of kennel and whale eyed watching me while turned away from me.

Bacon has been quiet in the kennel, with dilated eyes, semi-tense and walks with a semi-loose leash. Will take treats when

💜 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀
I was stopped in my tracks when I saw Foushee! She looks like a baby coyote or fox! This girl is so adorable, a little timid and anxious but I think that would blow over as soon as she’s out of the shelter. She’s been there a month and hasn’t lost her mind. Outside she was a little frantic on leash but seemed to feel more comfy when she saw a dog. She takes treats so gently, isn’t overly clingy — when I was doing other things she happily laid down to relax. I think she’d be great for a family with kids and dogs! She’d totally blossom 🥹🥰. She just needs to feel love and will get over that anxiousness. She comes when called and is not jumpy or mouthy. Her ear has a slit in it and looks like she had a Eminem’s collar at one point bc there’s a recent lack of hair growth there. I hope someone scoops this baby fox and gives her lots of TLC. 10/10 girlie ❤️

Foushee is a cute mid size happy girly! I honestly only took her out to borrow her for a temp test with a mid size shepherd who was on the euth list a week earlier. She ended up being so fun! She wanted to play even though the shep wasn’t totally interested. They were both feeling sick, but she was so fun despite that. She did great walking down the kennel rows and kissed friends through the bars. Easy happy girl.

This girl is a baby meerkat! She was so easy to leash, walked loose on the leash and was very calm! She knows how to sit and took treats gently! Her eyes are beyond incredible! She did fabulous with her temp test with a large male dog, she rolled on her back and was so submissive. It was the sweetest thing! She is just dying for human attention & affection but isn’t overwhelming. Love her!

12/4 Ari walked to and from the outside runs on a loose leash with a loose body. She only initially needed a little encouragement to walk past the barking dogs in the row.
12/3 Ari walked slowly on the leash, and I had to encourage her with baby talk and crouching. She was walking on a loose leash with a relaxed body once we got outside. She walked back in on a loose leash with a relaxed body straight into her kennel.
12/2 Ari was a Move Adopt this morning. She was very hesitant to walk. I had to continually stop and pet her so she would start
walking again.

📝 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀:
12/9 Wayne walked on a loose leash to and from the outside runs. Removing from Adopt Eval.
12/8 When approaching Wayne kennel he was on all four with a calm body came to the door, i was able to leash easy. Walked out in a calm body, tail up, lose leash. Walked on a lose leash coming back to his kennel, calm body, easy going into his kennel.
12/6 when approaching and opening kennel animal was near the back animal stood up and move to front of kennel animal has relaxed body posture witj a low wagging tail,animal has slow pace when leave kennel,once animal walk loose on a leash....
12/5 dog was in the kennel laying down and as i approched he strayed laying down and when i baby talked as i leashed him he slowly stood up and walked lose leash.

📝 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀:
11/29 Dog was standing at the front of kennel, had a neutral face and tense body. I easily leashed her and she immediately walked out with tense body and tucked tail. She walked loosely outside, while outside i was able to pet her but she displayed a more timid body language. She kept sniffing my hands and slowly kept backing away from me. She walked loosely back inside and went straight into her kennel.
12/15 Lilo walks well on a loose leash with a relax body and wagging tail. I walk Lilo to the dog run, removed the leash and she started walking around sniffing. I went to get another dog to walk out to the dog run and notice Lilo was whinning and bitting at the fence.
12/8 When approached Lilo lowered her head in her bed and remained laying down till i opened the kennle door at which point she slowly rose and meet me at the kennle door with lowered head and still tail while allowing me to leash her. she walked loose leash to the run and paced calmly till i returned to es**rt her back to the kennle
12/3 Lilo walked on a loose leash with a relaxed body to and from the outside runs.

12/14 Dog is at the front of the kennel trying to escape onced i placed the leash she ran out she very foward on the leash , very
skitish when trying to remove the leash

12/15 Lily tried to push her way out of kennel as soon as I was lifting the latch; once leashed was scurrying forward,
tense and startled at random noises. Walked her around and she pottied. Her kennel still wasn't ready, however, so I placed
her in a run. When I returned she held tail down and was moving head to avoid leash but I just moved leash slowly and she
stayed crouching as I leashed. Scurrying walk back inside.

12/16 Approaching kennel, Lily was in the front of kennel with dilated eyes and panting. I opened the door and she immediately
got up, she was tippy tapping and pushing the door with her head. Had to lasso the leash on her. She walked really fast
which created a tight leash. On the leash she was also very hyper and distracted, seemed to have a lot of energy so I
placed her in the runs. Coming back inside she still walked on a tight leash with wagging tail.

💜 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀: Kyra took my heart immediately 😭 I saw a volunteer walking her around and when I passed by I had to stop and say hi!! She is the most happiest girl and sat so good for her treats! Her notes do mention she was a little startled with a dog but the few times a dog passed by she didn’t growl just sniffed. Kyra is also heartworm negative so honestly she’s all set and ready to go!! 🥹 Sometimes dogs like her get looked over and she is such a happy beautiful dog it would be so good to see her out!! I mean look at that smile!! Spotted pitties are my weakness 😭🤍

📝 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀:

12/16 standing in front of kennel door with a relaxed body and swaying tail easy to leash once on leash she began to pull on leash, walked her around courtyard.

12/15 Began forward barking at Duke as I was trying to place duek back into kennel. Duke sniffed through kennel door then Kyra gave a hard stare and began low grolwing towards him following forward barking. Placing on Adopt eval to monitor behavior.
Had to cover back side of kennel, a customer was walking by with Sia and Kyra lunged at the kennel door , pawing and jumping up trying to fence fight with Sia just casually waslking by. Sia became very timid and ran in the other direction. Sia needs to be placed on beh constl due to her severe reaction and monitored.

12/12 Kyra was at the front of kennel, wiggly body, pulled back ears and fast wagging tail. On the leash she holds a very tight leash, ears pulled back, happy tail and whale eyes.

12/11 Approaching kennel she was standing by kennel door with a wiggly body, slow waggy tail and whale eyes. She walked on a semi loose leash to the runs. When leashing her to come back she was scooting back avoiding leash so i had to go into run and baby talk her

12/7 While in outside runs she started to fence fight with a puppy next to her other dog was just wiggly and she kept lunging towards it as it would get close to fence. While on leash she was pulling me keeping raised hackles and high tail as other dogs were passing by .

12/16 Lying on blanket when approached, once leashed stood up and walked with tail out and swaying, slightly behind me walking around row. When we reached the open door she pulled to go out but when called turned and
continued walking down row and into new kennel.

12/15 Dog has possible flea allergy dermatitis on rump. She has some possibly cyst like lumps on rump as well and appear to be oozing. Dog is also possibly pregnant. Dog also has worn canine teeth, missing incisors and severe plaque on teeth. Vet examined.
S/O: worn & missing teeth, areas of alopecia/hair
thinning/scaling/comedones/sebaceous cysts on rear end/tail, high HW+,
possible pregnant
A: dental dz, ddx flea allergy, high HW+, possible pregnant
P: needs dental rads/prophy/extractions, rx capstar sid x 2
