It’s National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week!

It’s only Tuesday and we’re already beginning to feel the love from our community, with multiple adoptions already completed 🐈❤️

Being in animal rescue is incredibly heartwarming and satisfying, and those of us that dedicate our lives to it are proud of our impact, but it can also be very scary at times.

“Is any food going to come in? Are we going to be able to pay our medical and utility bills? Will any volunteers be able to help us get everything done on busy days?”

We rely on our supporters and their generosity to be able to do what we do, and because of it we have been able to serve the greater Houston area for 30 years.

Now is a perfect time to help us get a head start on stocking up on essential shelter items! Many pet supply stores are beginning their holiday sales, and our goal is to make every day between now and December 25 Christmas morning for our kitties!

Our Cat of the Week this week is Sadie!

Sadie is the proud mama of four of our kittens here at the shelter. All of her babies have been adopted and are waiting to go to their forever homes and now it is Sadie's turn to get that opportunity!

Sadie is a very gentle soul, always checking in on her babies as well as the other kittens that they spend time with as if they were her own. She is a lot of love and comfort fit into a small package, and she is a lover of pets and attention. She even asks for and enjoys belly rubs!

Sadie is young lady, only just over a year and half. Unfortunately, she is not a fan of dogs of any size, but she does very well with the other cats in the shelter and we think currently that she could thrive in both multi-cat and single-cat households.
