Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Training Director to lead our companion dog training programs at both of our locations. This role involves teaching group classes and private lessons, overseeing staff development, and delivering engaging webinars and workshops. The Training Director will also manage our social media presence, ensuring our community stays informed and engaged. This position focuses on puppy, basic obedience, and Canine Good Citizen (CGC) programs, as well as other related companion dog training initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

🐾 Teach group classes and private lessons for puppies, basic obedience, and CGC programs.

👩‍🏫 Conduct staff observations and meetings to ensure high-quality training standards.

🎤 Present webinars, workshops, and continuing education sessions for staff.

📱 Manage social media content, including posts for Blue Sky, Facebook Stories, Instagram Stories, Instagram Posts, Facebook Public Posts, TikTok, and Private Facebook Group Posts for clients.

🐶 Oversee and develop training programs under the companion dog umbrella.

💬 Engage with clients and the community through social media to promote programs and share training tips.

📊 Monitor and evaluate program success, making improvements as needed.

Qualifications:

⭐️Proven experience in dog training, particularly with companion dogs (puppy, basic obedience, and CGC).

⭐️Strong leadership and team management skills.

⭐️Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

⭐️Proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.).

⭐️Passion for animal welfare and education.

⭐️Certification in dog training (e.g., CPDT-KA, KPA-CTP) is a plus.

We’ve had so many questions about the new space, so here’s a quick breakdown with a map for you:

🐾 Agility Field: A spacious 87x55-foot ring with fully turfed flooring—perfect for classes and future events!
🐾 Indoor Training Room: Great for puppy, obedience, and nosework classes, with access to the agility field via a door that can stay open or closed. This room will also double as overflow crating space as needed.
☕ Kitchen: A cozy spot with a fridge and, of course, coffee on hand at all times!
🚪 Entrance Area & Crating: Plenty of room for crating and a welcoming entry for everyone.
🚻 Bathrooms: Single-person bathrooms for added privacy.
🛒 Store: We’re thrilled to continue having Auburn Kennels managing the store!
📦 Storage: Lots of storage up front for easy access.
👩‍💼 Staff Room: A private space just for our hardworking team.
