🎉Special Announcement! 🎉

Bay Glen Animal Hospital is happy to introduce our newest addition to our team, Dr. Goldsberry. She will be starting with us in July 2024.

Dr. Caylen Goldsberry hails from the Golden State of California. Her parents fostered her love for animals at a young age with the addition of immensely loved family pets, including a bearded dragon, dogs, cats and an aquarium of fish. With her love of animals, her drive and passion to become a veterinarian started early.

She is a recent graduate of Tuskegee University, College of Veterinary Medicine where she also obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal, Poultry and Veterinary Sciences. Dr. Goldsberry’s special veterinary interests include clinical pathology, surgery, shelter medicine and diagnostic imaging. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, spending time with family, and being a dog mom to her two fur babies, Chloe and Beanie.

Please help us give her a warm welcome in the comments below!

Shiloh is all smiles for his dental x-rays!
Yearly dentals on your pet help prevent a plethora of different issues including:
--Bad breath
--Tooth infections/abscesses
--Tooth loss
--Jaw bone loss
--And in severe cases bacteria from the mouth can travel through the bloodstream and cause heart, liver and kidney issues.
Dental x-rays allow us to see below the gum line and identify issues that are not visible to the naked eye.

Did you know that less than 10% of the pets that are unchipped will return home each year?

A microchip is a secure, reliable, permanent identification for your pet and the process is simple and affordable. Microchipping your pet can help ensure that if your pet goes missing, they can be identified and find their way back to you.

If your pet is chipped, make sure their information is up to date. To help keep pets close to their loved ones, share this post and remind your friends to !

Is your pet scooting or licking their rear? It could be their a**l glands.

A**l glands are located on the rear of dogs and cats. The glands produce an oily, fishy-smelling fluid that helps with scent marking. Sometimes these glands can get impacted or infected.

Soft, consistent stool, as well as allergies, are common causes of irritation. If your pet is scooting, licking excessively, or showing signs of discomfort around their rear end, contact us! We will help to identify the cause and determine the best course of treatment.
