Vicki Dailey and Dusti Baldwin, owners of Best Friends Boutique would like to thank their customers and the community for allowing them to love and care for your four-legged family for the last 38 years. At this time, they are announcing that they have decided to close Best Friends Boutique. This was not a decision that was made lightly. The shopping center, where they are located, is going in a new direction and Vicki and Dusti cannot imagine Best Friends Boutique being in any other community.
Vicki opened the shop on Monday, August 5, 1985. The news was so exciting to the entire family. A shared memory was coming home from Garner State Park on the Saturday before the grand opening and stopping in the early morning hours to look at the brand new sign that was installed while they were gone. Vicki worked the shop alone six days a week opening at 7a.m. and closing at 6 p.m. each day, until the spring of ‘86. Vicki then began hiring employees to keep up with demand. That summer, Dusti began working at the shop. Dusti continued to work at the shop during school holidays and vacations until she graduated Dobie High School in 1989. She also continued to work while attending college to become a teacher. Dusti left during the fall of 1995 to be a schoolteacher. She taught for 16 years until Vicki was ready to retire in 2011. Dusti returned and began running the shop. The business was put into Dusti’s control in 2013. Dusti will be unfortunately, be forced to close the shop on Saturday, August 5, 2023.
Once again, Vicki and Dusti want to thank the community for trusting Best Friends Boutique with your furry family members. As they go forward to August, they will begin only opening four days a week (Wednesday – Saturday), keeping their normal hours 7a.m. to 6p.m. This change will begin the week of May 29, 2023 and continue through August 5, 2023. They will continue to board pets until July 12, 2023. Please give them a call to set up grooming for your pet at least one more time at 281-484-9655.
Best Friends Boutique’s motto is “Pets leave paw prints on our hearts.” Your pets have forever left paw prints on Vicki and Dusti’s hearts.
