All systems are now restored. Apologies for the delays.

We are happy to report that our power was restored this Sunday evening. We are still without internet, but will be setting up WiFi hot spots, in order to process payments. We will also be monitoring texts through Otto, and will have our main number transferred to a cell phone. We are planning to have these fixes in place by 9am, and we will open at that time. Thank you all for your patience. We look forward to being of service to our beloved clients and patients. :)

Folks, we are unfortunately still without power. We have no phones, and are unable to access records. We have filed outage reports with Centerpoint, but have no response, as of yet. Any other helpful suggestions are appreciated.

Just last night an Angel
Sent from Heaven came to say
"Police dog, you look tired
And you're worn out now and grey."
The K9 saw the Angel
Though he never turned his head
Because his eyes were on his handler
And they stayed there when he said:
"What about my partner, ma'am?
Can he come with me too?
I've kept him safe for all these years-
It's what i swore I'd do.
I've guarded him from evil,
From every creature of the night
He's always kept me happy and
He's always done me right.
Each day I stand beside him
And when our shift is through
He's tells me I'm a good boy
I tell him he's a good boy, too.
I've been there when the nights got rough-
Because I'm his second gun
And I swore I'd walk beside him
'til his job in Hell was done. "
The Angel knelt beside him
To lift his chin and say
"It's time for you to join us,
but your handler needs to stay.
His job down here's not finished,
But I promise you that when
It's time to bring him home to us,
You can protect him once again.
Come rest your weary eyes now, Boy
You did your partner well
It's time that you're rewarded
For your services in Hell."
The K9 closed his eyes that day
And with a final sigh
He wagged his tail to give his thanks
And tell his friend goodbye
He found his way to Heaven
By a path the Angel led
And when the K9 got there,
God smiled and he said:
"Rest easy now, Police Dog,
you needn't have to fear
We can watch your friend together
And guard his 6 from here."

REST IN PEACE K9 "JECK"

Constable Mark Herman's Office send our deepest condolences to the Precinct 1 Constable's Office who reported the passing of retired Constable K9 “Jeck”.

K9 “Jeck” retired from active service in May of 2023. He was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer which led to his passing. K9 “Jeck” served the citizens of Harris County with selfless distinction aiding in the apprehension of many dangerous suspects and the detection of harmful narcotics.

Good afternoon, clients. Comcast have informed us that they will be working on their network on tomorrow, 8/2, in our area, and that we are to expect service interruptions. While we don't know the extent of the interruptions, we do know that phone/email/messaging will be affected. We will be proactive in preparing for this, to the extent we can, and ask for your patience while our internet service/voip phone systems are down.

I know many of you are concerned about how the Texas power grid will hold up in the grips of this week's Arctic cold front. Long story short: I'm not concerned, I don't think you should sweat it either.

We have a lot working in our favor:

🔹Forecast power demand during the coldest time on Friday morning (Dec 23) will be lower than Feb 2021 and even our peak summer demand.

🔹Temperatures not as cold as Feb '21 and not nearly as long lasting.

🔹Most importantly: NO WINTER WEATHER is expected in Texas this week. The state-wide winter storm back in Feb '21 crippled the grid's ability to produce energy from wind, solar, and especially gas/coal. With a sunny sky in the wake of the cold front this week, the grid should theoretically operate like normal.

I don't blame you one bit for whatever skepticism you have. I trust ERCOT and our grid as far as I can throw it, and I've got a bum shoulder. But I truly think we are in good shape this week, and you should instead focus your time and energy on getting your home, pets/livestock, and plants situated for a quick/intense cold snap.

More updates to come as we get closer to the end of the week. I'll be keeping a close eye on the grid and any updates from ERCOT
