The Bhakti Urban Farm is meant to inspire people towards a holistic lifestyle based on wisdom from ancient agrarian cultures. Through sustainability practices, specifically caring for land and cows, as well as performing arts, music, meditation and yoga, the Bhakti Urban Farm, located just 10 miles from downtown Houston, strives to create a more conscious Houston.
“Bhakti” is a Sanskrit word which means devotional service. This urban sanctuary provides a perfect antidote to cure the urge of exploitation by teaching individuals to channel their energy towards service, while leading a balanced, honest and simple life dedicated to discovering one’s self.
Farm & Education
This serene wooded refuge features a growing garden and a barn where our much-loved cows reside. The urban farm has many seasonal vegetables and fruit trees nourished by homegrown fertilizers. You will also spot many birds and bees enjoying the farm all year round.
