🎵Reunited, and it feels so good🎵 A few weeks ago, this Harris County resident visited @HarrisCountyPets to adopt a new pet. Earlier in the year, her previous pet from HCP had passed away after several happy years together. After a few months, she felt ready to welcome another furry family member into her home. 🐶 They found an adorable puppy that they fell in love with and took home. A few weeks later, they saw a video we posted about the often-overlooked pets at the shelter. She recognized one of the dogs in the video as the mother of her adopted puppy. She said she knew immediately she couldn't leave her new pup's momma behind. She came back to the shelter the next day and adopted her. 🏠 Every pet deserves a chance at a happy life, and when we get to witness locals stopping by the shelter to adopt, it makes a positive difference to those furry friends and our community. We're happy to announce our inaugural County Pets on Wheels event at Riley Chambers Park on Saturday, June 22. This event is EXCLUSIVE to dog owners in the zip code 77532 ONLY so please share with your friends and family who are dog owners and live in this year. During the event, dog owners will have their pets spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated, and they will receive a one-year Harris County license, all for the low cost of $25. As we roll out County Pets on Wheels, we will expand our services to additional areas throughout Unincorporated Harris County. For your pet to qualify, it must not be pregnant, lactating, in heat, cryptorchid, or sick. Pets must also be at least three months old and no larger than 50 pounds. This event is by appointment ONLY, and limited slots are available, so please call the shelter at (281) 999-3191 to secure your spot today.
