Houston Boxer Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit, all volunteer, total foster care (no kennel facility) organization. HBR is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, health, and re-homing of abused, abandoned, neglected, or surrendered boxers within the Houston Metroplex and beyond. No officer or volunteer of Houston Boxer Rescue is compensated for their services. Rescue is a commitment of the heart,

a labor of love. We are serious about changing the lives of boxers that come through our program. Our goal for the dogs we rescue is a loving and secure forever future in a home that has been vetted by an experienced volunteer. We strive to match the needs and character of a particular animal to the home environment of an approved adopter. Houston Boxer Rescue depends totally upon donations from like-minded, compassionate people. Check out this wonderful update on HBR alum Sierra now Harley. She definitely hit the jackpot with her new family!

Since adopting Harley in 2017, when she was four, our lives have been filled with joy and laughter. Harley will be 12 in January, she has grown up alongside our kids, forming a special bond with them. Harley loves to hang out in the garage and on the dock with Mike, where they have spent countless hours together. She has also welcomed her new brother, Ranger, with open paws, and showing us a playful side we have never seen before.

Harley is a true social butterfly who loves to be with everyone. She follows us around the house, ensuring she’s always part of the action. Her affectionate nature shines through in her eagerness to greet visitors and her love for being petted.

As she ages gracefully, Harley continues to teach us the importance of loyalty and joy. Our home is filled with laughter and love, all thanks to our sweet boxer, and we can’t imagine our lives without her!

Hi I’m P***y and I’m new to HBR.

P***y is living her best life with her new foster family and is thoroughly enjoying the company of the other dogs and cat. She's been a great sport with her new foster mom, but she's clearly a kid at heart and gets ridiculously excited whenever the human child walks into the room. She's still getting used to her new surroundings, but she's coming out of her shell and showing off her sweet personality. And have you ever seen anything cuter than the tip of her tongue sticking out? She's also staked her claim on the biggest dog bed in the house, but she's generous enough to share with the elderly canine lady. P***y loves her some raw hides and toys, and she's often seen strutting around the house with them. Check back for more updates on this lovable goofball.
