Our hearts are heavy for our LA community today. Scenes all over social media of the courageous first responders battling historic wildfires amid blistering winds reaching 100mph equivalent to a Category 2 hurricane.

Thousands of residents have been forced to evacuate the area as wildfires continue to tear through the region today and into the night.

If evacuation orders are issued, please take them seriously and leave immediately. Even if there’s no official order but you feel unsafe, trust your instincts and go. Stay protected with N95 masks that can help reduce smoke inhalation. Stay safe, stay vigilant, everyone!

Winter Weather Tips for Pet Safety ❄️🌨️

Houston friends, as we reflect on the big freeze from two years ago, let’s prepare to keep our pets safe during cold weather emergencies. 🐾

𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝘂𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀:

𝗞𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗺: Bring pets indoors and ensure they have a cozy, draft-free spot to rest.
𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝘄𝘀: Watch out for icy sidewalks or salted areas that can irritate their paw pads. Wipe their paws clean after walks!
𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲: Short potty breaks are best during extreme cold. No dog wants frostbite!
𝗛𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 & 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹: Cold temps burn more energy—make sure they’re fueled up and have fresh water.
𝗘𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽: Stock up on pet food, meds, and a backup power source for their needs.
