We were bred from the beginning to be America's best all-inclusive indoor/outdoor dog care facility. The owners of The Dog Stop® spent several years researching the pet care industry, surveying the needs of local pet owners, and planning an all-inclusive facility after they saw a lack of transparency in the industry. Their goal was to create a fun and safe environment where dogs would love to come

and play, and pet owners would feel 100% confident in the superior care that their dogs were receiving. In 2009, the first The Dog Stop® doors opened in Pittsburgh, PA. Since that day, The Dog Stop’s mission has been to deliver a superior experience for the dogs and their whole families by providing a safe environment, offering educational opportunities, anticipating and exceeding the needs of clients and their pet companions, instilling complete peace of mind for those we serve – and to earn their trust every day! Today, there are over 20 Stops throughout the United States! Each Stop is locally owned and operated, but was bred and trained on the original The Dog Stop morals and mission. Meet Nye! 🐾 This gentle giant is ready to steal your heart—and your lap! Nye was found as a stray on New Year’s Eve and hopped right into his finder’s car, proving he’s a people-loving pup through and through. He’s all about toys, treats, and belly rubs, and he can’t wait to find a family that will shower him with love. 🥰

Looking for a snuggle buddy? ♥️ Nye is your guy! While we’re not sure how he feels about other furry friends, HARP’s team can help with introductions and set up a meet-and-greet at the shelter. Nye does have some medical considerations, and HARP’s medical team will be happy to provide more details before adoption.

Meet Donut! 🍩 Sweet as her name, Donut is here to sprinkle your life with love and laughter! 💕 This playful pup may be a little shy when meeting new friends, but with a few treats and a whole lot of kindness, she transforms into the most lovable, goofy companion. 🐶

Donut is an energetic young dog with a knack for sunbathing, frolicking, and major snuggles. Bonus? She’s a pro at lap-warming and dishing out kisses! 😘 While she’s still polishing her manners, Donut promises to be a loyal and affectionate sidekick who’s worth every ounce of patience.

This lovable girl knows "sit" and is always up for a game of fetch, making her the perfect companion for active adventures. Kim adores pets, hugs, belly rubs, and snuggles, but she’s also crate-trained to keep her mischief in check when you’re not around. 🐾

Say hello to Chicory! 🐶 This adorable pup came to Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh (HARP) as a stray and has blossomed into a joyful and loving companion. Though she was initially a bit nervous, Chicory has made incredible progress in building her confidence. She's a pint-sized cuddle bug who adores attention—especially after getting her zoomies out! 🐾

Treats are the way to Chicory's heart, and she's learning that humans can be her best friends. If you have another dog at home, it is recommended to schedule a meet-and-greet to see if they’re a perfect match. Stop by HARP's East Side shelter to meet this little sweetheart! 💗

The Dog Stop is an all-inclusive pet care facility located at 920 FM 1960 Houston, TX 77073

We offer daily dog daycare, overnight boarding, professional grooming services, in-home services (dog walking, pet sitting and transportation) as well as a retail store filled with the best foods, treats, toys and accessories available on the market. Our state of the art facility was specially designed with dogs in mind. Stop in today to take a tour and see all that we have to offer.
