Another Big THANK YOU to the Petfinder Foundation for awarding us a P.L.A.Y beds grant. In the midst of recovering from storm damage we received a box of new beds the pups quickly put to good use. This helped them be more comfortable and saved us from the expense of replacing damaged beds. Without their support we could not have made it through this summer.

We want to give a huge THANK YOU to the Petfinder Foundation for their support after we were hit by a freak storm back in May. We had straightline wind and tornado damage, with loss of equipment and supplies. The Petfinder Foundation came through for us in our time of need with a Disaster Grant. This allowed us to replace most needed supplies and acquire cooling equipment to get the dogs through this Texas heat until the foster building air conditioning can be replaced. We could not have gotten though this summer without their help.

Thanks to Petfinder Foundation and the 2024 Kia Pet Adoption Grant we are able to waive adoption fees on our longest residents and reduce the adoption fee on newer furbabies for the time being. Our longest fosters are Rocky and Shadow, they were rescued from euthanasia at the county shelter a week before Christmas 2022. They are both great dogs, patiently waiting for their forever homes. Toffee needs additional surgeries on two legs. We took her for consultation and have to do one at a time. The estimates attached are for both, one each. I am here pleading for help. She is a very sweet loving girl and wants to play all the time, so it is heartbreaking having to restrict her mobility to not further injure herself. Thanks to Rocky Kanaka posting Trisha's story far and wide she is now on her way to her forever home. Thank you all for showing Trisha so much love, with your comments and shares to help make this possible. We want to give special Thanks to her amazing foster mom, that has gone above and beyond for Trisha and is currently taking her on a cross country road trip to her forever home.

I know there are a lot of people out there like me that love pets and support dog and cat rescue. That's why I am pouring my heart and soul into this channel...

ADOPT TRISHA, a resilient and beautiful dog who has triumphed over a challenging past filled with neglect and abuse. After a daring rescue that involved a shelter staff member hiding her to save her from euthanasia, Trisha was welcomed by Greenawalds Service Rescue. With months of medical care and rest, she overcame her injuries and infections, blossoming in a foster home in Austin, TX. Now, Trisha is ready to find her forever family.

In her foster home, Trisha has shown how wonderful and loving she truly is. She enjoys visiting the dog park, making new friends, and showing her playful side. Although she experiences some separation anxiety, the companionship of her foster brother has been a great comfort. Trisha's journey is one of courage and transformation, and she is now looking for a loving home where she can continue to thrive and share her abundant love.

From this to that, 575 days waiting for a forever family.
Shadow (formerly known as Bullwinkle A596893) is STILL looking for a forever home. He was rescued from the shelter euthanasia list just before Christmas 2022 after being there for 126 days, and he was not even a year old yet.
He is a sweet, loving, playful boy, who is smart and highly food/treat motivated. He knows basic commands including sit, down, stay and roll over for belly rubs. Shadow also enjoys hugs and kisses.
Shadow is an energetic young boy that likes to wrestle with foster brothers, play tug-o-war and fetch(ish) 😄with the people, and will go to his place when told without a fuss. He is kennel trained and fully vetted neutered and chipped.
As you can see, he has filled out nicely in the 449 days he has been with us, and has earned an affectionate nickname "pork-chop"😂
This young sweetie has been waiting patiently for 575 days for a family to take him home.
