The holidays are full of feasts and irresistible aromas, but some foods aren’t safe for your Shih Tzu (looking at you, turkey bones and chocolate pie 😬).

Teaching the "Leave It" command can save your pup from tummy troubles and teach them valuable self-control!

How to start:
1️⃣ Hold a treat in your hand, say "Leave it," and wait for your Shih Tzu to back away or lose interest.

2️⃣ Reward them with a different treat and praise when they listen.

3️⃣ Gradually introduce real-life distractions—like that dropped piece of turkey!
