Does your dog knows how to “Out” on command when you are playing with a toy with him/her? This is something we can help you with as it’s part of the whole “having fun with my dog deal”. It can be frustrating when we want to play fetch and either the dog is not bring the toy back, plays the chase me game or they just don’t let go because they want to play tug of war instead of fetching the toy. This girl in this video used to be so stubborn about letting go of her toys… I had to work trust routines everyday in my training sessions with toys where I will say the release command, technically help her to let go and then reward her again with whatever I was playing with and marking letting go with my verbal marker (“yes”) . Savage learned that letting go will actually get her paid again and also I will include a fun game of tug of war. Lots of the exercises we practice in training is to build TRUST between handler and dog. Once we achieve those trust exercises you will enjoy playing more with your dog. There has been a very disturbing viral video of a local dog trainer lifting with a leash a 5 months old Belgian malinois puppy over his shoulder; and slamming him hard against the floor causing sever injuries to his rear end. We won’t post the video here as it is very painful for us animal lovers to watch. This trainer referred to this as an “over correction” when it’s clearly ANIMAL ABUSE. As Dog Trainers in this industry for over 15 years, we are very horrified and angry at this situation. Sadly in our past, due to such high reviews we have referred clients to this facility. We want to apologize as we had no knowledge or idea that this type of conduct was happening at this facility. We no longer support or refer any clients to TyCal K9. We DO NOT tolerate ANIMAL ABUSE. We hope that justice is served for that sweet pup, and any other dogs that might have been mistreated under that trainer’s supervision. We want to assure our clients and our future clients that at Love for Dogs we believe in training your pet in a loving, balanced and humane way because we are pet parents ourselves and we treat your dog like if it was one of our own. Our clients are witnesses of how we train their dogs as we send daily tutorial videos of our training sessions and we strive for happy students. Your pet is part of our pack and we don’t do this profession to get rich, we do it because it is our passion . This video has caused uncertainty and distrust from pet owners to trainers, that’s why we wanted to do this video to let you all know that there still good professional dog trainers that care for your relationship with your pet, and we are one of them.
