You open your homes and hearts to every dog and cat who comes your way. You love them, care for them, and then give them the bittersweet gift of saying goodbye so they can start a brand-new life. That kind of love truly saves lives ❤️

Meet Tugboat🐾

Tugboat was picked up by BARC, the city shelter, with his left eye bulging out. We’ll never know what happened in his first 9 weeks of life, but no puppy deserves to suffer like that.

He received emergency surgery right away to remove the damaged eye and stop the pain and infection. RPM then stepped in to give this little fighter the second chance he deserved. With a foster family’s love, he recovered and recently traveled to one of our partner rescues in Colorado.

Just weeks later, Tugboat was adopted by a family of four. Now he has the Rocky Mountains in his backyard and a lifetime of love and play ahead of him. ❤️

Indulge for a cause this month at Giacomo’s Cibo e Vino! 🐾

This month’s featured dessert is Giacomo’s take on a French classic: Gateau Breton. Traditionally somewhere between a pound cake and a buttery shortbread cookie, it’s often filled with fruit preserves.
