Late last night, I was asked to save a young horse that has already shipped to Mexico for slaughter.

We have to pay a hefty price to bring the truck back but have done it before.

This certain lot is the worst in the states and treats their animals inhumane.

They just shipped 22 horses to slaughter- nothing is wrong with them and one is heavily pregnant. For this transport price we can bring back 1-6.

If you would like to help us save more than one -
Please let me know asap

This is an excruciating place to be to choose who lives and dies.

Please Join Us Today for the Blessing of the Animals!!!

In celebration of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals, we warmly invite you to join us for a special drive-thru animal blessing event benefiting A Place for Peanut in Industry. From 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, bring your beloved pets—dogs, cats, farm animals, big or small—to receive a blessing from Father Joe, all from the comfort of your car!

If you’re unable to bring your pet, you're still welcome to drop off donations to support A Place for Peanut. All contributions will directly aid their mission to rescue and rehabilitate donkeys and horses.

We look forward to seeing you and your furry (or feathered!) friends!

Rescuing horses is a profound passion of mine, but the ultimate act of compassion is to release them from suffering with dignity and love.
While our work is imbued with immense joy, it is also marked by profound sorrow. The impending loss of one of our beloved animals next Monday weighs heavily upon me. It is a solemn duty to grant him peace as he transitions to a realm beyond pain.

To restore my spirit, I shall retreat to the Adirondacks for a brief respite with cherished friends. This will be the second such loss in a short period, and time alone with nature will aid in my healing.

In Loving Memory of Sailor

Today, we bid farewell to our beloved Sailor, a remarkable horse who touched our hearts in countless ways. Sailor was more than just a horse; he was a testament to resilience, grace, and the unbreakable bond between humans and animals.

From the moment he was rescued, Sailor showed a spirit that was both gentle and strong. He captured our hearts with his sweet nature and his undeniable charm. His presence brought joy to everyone at A Place for Peanut, Inc., and he became a symbol of hope and second chances.

Despite the battles he faced, Sailor remained a beacon of courage. He fought bravely over the past few days, but in the end, his heart could no longer bear the struggle. Though his time with us was cut short, his impact will be everlasting.

Sailor's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. We will remember his soft nuzzles, the way his eyes sparkled with curiosity, and the gentle spirit that made him so special. He will forever be a part of our family, and his legacy will continue to inspire us to rescue and care for horses in need.
Rest in peace, dear Sailor. You will always be loved and never forgotten. 💔🐴

Thank you all for your continued donations as we pay for the vet bills and we are grateful for your prayers.
