The hardest part of rescue is letting them go when it’s their time…

We saved Maggie as a 2 year old.
She developed squamous cell carcinoma and had it cut out twice by Texas A&M but it kept growing back.

Today we laid her to rest at only 7 years old. She had 5 good years with us. She loved life, was the boss mare and loved her boyfriend, Bob. They were inseparable. We had to sedate him as well but he was allowed to say goodbye and that really helped him. Please send good vibes and maybe some treats for Bob as he figures out life without his gal by his side.
Thank you to Mark Sleeper, Janice Toomey, Jill Kitzman and Derrick Hughes for being with Maggie and myself. 🌈🙏🏻🥲
