Some of you may remember Beth that used to work with us. She had to leave work after the birth of her beautiful baby girl Tiffany.
Tiffany was born with a severe heart defect and on February 13 she received a heart ❤ transplant.
The girls at the shop and I decided we want to help our friend and former co worker.
So on March 12 (our shops 11th anniversary!)we are donating our tips,toenail service fee and shop proceeds to Beth and her family. Hope to see you on the the 12th of March and please share!

To my clients:

✂️Yes- grooming salons will reopen- at some point- it’s different for every state, every salon✂️

What can CLIENTS do, to help salons navigate a new 'normal' you ask?🤔

💥Know your dog was missed terribly and your dog groomer is grateful for your return 🙏🏻
💥Know safety measures were created for all involved.
💥Know the importance of coming **alone** as extra people compromises everyone.
💥Know your dog groomer cannot physically work 16 hour days 7 days a week, rest is essential for all..😴
💥Know your dog’s initial visit will take more time, and it may be a shorter version of the haircut that you are used to for them.
💥Know that coming in sick *isn’t* an option
💥Know that rescheduling hundreds of clients will take time...🤔⌚
💥Know that when you arrive you will need to wait until no other customers are in the salon for drop off
💥Know that your groomer is thrilled to see you, and even though she/he may *want* or *need* a hug, your presence, is the best hug ever. 😷
💥Know that your health and the groomers health is the biggest concern
💥Know that your groomer may choose to open at a later date than the state you’re in has allowed, being respectful of that decision takes an unimaginable load off his/ her brain and heart.
💥Know your groomer has already lost thousands of 💸💸 and has no desire to replace it with a ventilator for either of you, so plz be patient. ❤
💥Know that if your health is already high risk, you need to wait, your health is more important.
💥Know that your opinion of the entire situation won't change laws and rules necessary for everyone's safety so plz keep the conversation to your dogs current needs and how we can make them happy and healthy ❤
💥Know that while trying to connect with your groomer, there are hundreds of others attempting the same thing, responses will be slow coming as your groomer is preparing everything and answering everyone simultaneously
💥Know, above all else, no one is more excited about your arrival than your groomer- help make it the best appointment ever!!!🙏❤🙏❤🙏

This time of year a lot of pets get sprayed by skunks.
I'm sure being home with a skunked dog would be horrible !
While we cant physically help de skunk your pet at this time. I thought I'd post our recipe and directions.
1st thing resist the urge to wash the dog! That will just spread the oil in the skunk spray.
I recommend pouring milk on the dog. The lactose in the milk helps to neutralize the skunk oil.
While the milk is drying this is our de skunk recipe
1quart hydrogen peroxide
1 lb of baking soda
And 1/2cup of BLUE DAWN dish washing soap has to be the blue dawn
You could half this for a smaller pet
***IMPORTANT *** Dont put a cap on this mixture it will explode
Once you got this made up put it on the dog while its dry dont wet the dog down with water if it's still damp from the milk that's ok.
Put the mixture on the dog carefully you might want to wear gloves,avoid getting it into the pet's eyes. Let it sit on for 5 minutes. Rinse throughly when you think you have it rinsed rinse for 5 more mins lol. Then wash the pet in a gentle shampoo. Fabreez is a great product to use if the smell in in your home. Also lighting scented candles will help lessen the smell too or burning sage if you have some on hand.
Hopefully you will never need to use this info but if you do I hope its helpful. Any questions feel free to ask!

Glendas Grooming doors are open for business!

Our staff and human client's health is our #1 priority! We will be open for business, but would like to share with you the steps we will be taking to ensure everyone's health is not compromised.

At this point, it goes without saying, if you have been around anyone that presents or has symptoms associated with COVID-19, we ask that you reschedule your appointment. Our staff with practice this policy as well.

Our staff will be wiping down all frequently touched surfaces (door k***s, light switches, all equipment, and counters regularly throughout each day. We will be using bleach, lysol, and disinfectants labeled to kill common viruses. We will also ask that each client engage in social distancing with our staff when you enter the facility - we love our clients, but it may be awhile before we hug you again.

Our staff remains ready and eager to provide your pet care services - and will exercise the utmost caution when interacting with you, including frequent hand washing, sanitizing, and monitoring their own household health.
