This is our Spencer. He came to us death warned over from the streets of Detroit. So malnourished he could barely walk. His back was arched and I swear to touch him was literally skin on bones.
Spencer has defied death with a strong desire to overcome and he certainly has.
Spencer has come to life, he knows precisely when it's meal time and is happily waiting in the kitchen for foster mom Janet to prepare his food. He loves to be held, he is so curious about his new world.
He is at a great weight and a miracle how far he's come.
This is Spencer exploring at the pet store and he is terrific on a leash🥰
A video of Treasure from last Sundays showing event at Pet Supplies Plus in Howell
We will be at Pet Supplies Plus 2649 E. Grand River, Howell tomorrow (Sunday) from 11-2
Foster mom Janet Schaub is so good with these guys.!
That's our 'Spencer' mastering the puzzle!😎
Janet has been giving them there baths, applying the saive to Dexter's body, two eye medications in Dexter's eyes, making sure they get all there meds. Dexter has a serious upper respiratory so he's getting tented treatments with a vaporizer
There beds are fit for kings, and just look at this video. It's the greatest with little Spencer.
Both these boys probably have never been treated like royalty before💗
Thank you Janet for all your doing for our two little patients🙂
Our Victory aka Stevie enjoying her new life. Christa has opened up a whole new world to her and our girl is loving it!
Our responsibility is to them, they're happiness. Not everyone understands this, we know the horrors, mistreatment, neglect they've endured. Our commitment is to them and their happiness💗
For some reason it won't let me download multiple videos. So I have to share them with you one at a time💗
Our Victory aka Stevie, her daughter Moxy having the time of their lives🥰
This story is too good to be true. Earlier this year we rescued a group of adult standard schnauzer from an amish puppy mill. This mill was brutal, savage to the animals. The male schnauzer we rescued had/had a pipe jammed down his throat mangling his voicebox. Why? Inside there buildings barking dogs will give away the number of dogs they have thus they want them silenced.
One particular female dog named Victory, mentally she was seriously traumatized. Terrified of people, terrified of new places. We'd have to physically carry her into the pet store.
When we felt she was ready for adoption some young ladies from out of state reached out to us. They recognized the names of the dogs to a breeder they had gotten a dog from. In fact they had seen Victory at the breeders house, she was pregnant at the time. Some time down the line the breeder sold these dogs to the amish and that's how we got them.
Ok now to the actual part of this story were in awe about....one of the young ladies Christa from this group of friends adopted Victory. This young ladies good friend had a schnauzer pup from the breeder before going to the amish now an adult...she had Victory' daughter named Moxy!
To see the life Christa has given Victory aka Stevie plus the bonus she babysits Moxy.
The life Victory/Stevie has now is simply incredible, wonderful, our hearts are full.
Enjoy the videos of our Victory aka Stevie, her life, her daughter Moxy.
This is our paycheck💗
Look at these two sisters Blanche & Rose having the time of their lives at there new home. Though young these girls have been through hell and back. Maybe because of this there bond is even more stronger. Dorothy & Sophia equally the same, strong bond.
We would love for Dorothy & Sophia to be adopted together. There would absolutely be a deal made with the adoption fee.😁🥰
We just want the best for our girls.
Our 'Golden Girls' 6 month old standard Poodle gals from the amish puppy mill.
Heartwarming to see them so happy. Blanche & Rose go to their new home this Sunday as a 'foster to adopt' until all there medical is complete.
It would be wonderful if Dorothy & Sophia the two reds could stay together.
Adoption fees when of multiple dogs is discounted.
Remember this little one? She in her 16 months of life had never been groomed. She had mats on top of mats and had to be completely shaved down. She lived in a crate.
Athena is doing so well. I think she is re-living the puppyhood she was deprived of. Oh my does she loves toys and playing with other dogs and kisses and snuggling.
She is 6 lbs of scrumptious 🥰
Blanche, isn't she gorgeous 😍
Some of you are familiar and quite fond of our little 'Precious'. You can appreciate this video of her.
Precious was found wallowing in 6 inches of human sewage in the home and seized (taken away from that environment).
She barely weighed 4 lbs., her symptoms were puzzling and escalating to the point it was like she had forgotten how to eat, how to chew, she couldn't stand let alone walk.
We had been taking her for acupuncture and she had seen multiple vets for her mysterious condition.
Now we were faced with no time to waste and off to the emergency vet we flew. After a quick consultation they directed us to 'Dogwood Neurology ' in Farmington. Now Precious was in the hands of specialists, it didn't take long when they informed us they suspected encephalitis- infection of the spinal cord and brain. Treatment started immediately and look at her now...Flourishing, especially in the care of our own Cathy Collins. Cathy took this little one under her wing and now Precious looks the best ever and continues to blossom. Her coat is long, luxurious and thick, far from how it was when we first got her from Livingston County Animal Control. At that time she looked sick & pitiful.
So seeing her thoroughly enjoying this spoon full of cool whip topping is....Precious🥰
Mitzy happy in her new home, look at that tail wag🥰
Ok, I'm need more practice at video taping.
This is Victory from the puppy mill, she's learned so much, continues to blossom.
I just wanted to share with you how happy and full of life Victory is. What a wondrous dog with so much potential💗
Enjoy🥰
A comment was made that unfortunately we do not adopt out of state. GUESS WHAT?!!! We've removed that requirement and will now adopt out of state. We do not want to hold our furbabies back from missing out on wonderful homes.
These two little aussie-doodle girls are so smart smart smart.
Came from the amish puppy mill, never lived outside of a cage. Mike & Janet Schaub took these babies under their wing and there already playing fetch! Learning to go to the door when they need to go outside.
Smart smart smart cookies🥰
I love their bounce😁
Thank you Mike & Janet💗
This little girl needs your prayers
Ok, I'll stop bombarding you with videos. So impressed with already the change in these dogs from the puppy mill💗
I tried to video, kind of hard while holding leashes and constantly watching the dogs body language.
If you pm me, don't worry I will respond.
What to expect when around these dogs from the amish puppy mill:
No fast movements, will cause the dog to buck, thrash, alligator roll.
If this happens hold tight to the leash.
Always have your hand through the loop of the leash and your hand grasping the leash.
Slow movements, stop, allow them to look around, sniff.
Guide them with gentle tugs on the leash to encourage them.
No strong tugs.
Talk to them in a soft voice, happy tone like your speaking to a child. Lots of praise.
Kneel down, sit down on the grass, speak to them, some will allow you to pet them.
If you have children under 10 they cannot approach the adult dogs, NO RUNNING AROUND THE YARD.
No screaming or loud voices.
These dogs have never even seen a child before, they are not use to human contact or seeing people.
They've never been petted. They will startle easily.
It's a slow process bringing these dogs back to life but doable.
It's their life were giving back to them.
