Oh Rockstar. You are just that! The shelter’s rockstar. The silliest, friendliest most loving pup you could meet. There’s nothing he loves more than couch cuddles, car rides, and laying in the sun. We might not speak dog, but we know what Rockstar would like for Christmas this year! Rockstar’s hoping to wake up Christmas morning in a home of his own, surrounded by a family that loves him dearly.
Rockstar had hip surgery a little over 2 months ago and has been recouping at the shelter but we feel like a loving foster/forever home would be a better option. As much as we try to keep him comfortable, the shelter kennel is not the best place to heal. If you have a loving space where our boy can heal we’d appreciate your help as he will require another surgery in the near future but will need strict rest we cannot provide here.
Please reach out to us at 518-296-8390 with any questions on Rockstar or to apply to be his foster family. Rockstar can be nervous of new people at first, but with a little patience(and snacks!) he warms right up. Rockstar will unfortunately need a home with no other animals.
Our sweet old Maria is still patiently waiting for her furever home. She’s been with us for 269 days!
If you’re looking for a couch hound, this girl could be your perfect cuddle companion!
Maria will need a hound experienced home that knows the general behavior of a typical hound dog. She DOES bark. She's very vocal and likes to be heard!
Maria is a 9 year old hound. She hasn’t had the best life and arrived to us covered in masses and had horrible ear infections. Despite this, she has been the sweetest girl that just absolutely loves attention. Her masses were removed and biopsied and we were ecstatic to find out they were benign. We are still working on her ears, but our vet believes she will have chronic ear infections and recommended we start her on a special diet. She will NEED to stay on this diet (Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets HA Hydrolyzed)!! Maria is housebroken, great on a leash, good with most dogs(does prefer to be boss dog in the household), and would be fine in a home with kids. She would do best in home without small animals.
Realizing we haven’t posted an update on our sweet Cooper, the kitten found in a chicken coop clinging to life. He is feeling SOOO much better! He’s still got some sniffles, but has made incredible progress. He’s got the appetite of a lion and loves to play!
Please note that sweet Cooper is not ready for adoption just yet. When he is ready, we will repost him for adoption. 💕
We love to provide fun, interactive toys for our animals to keep them busy! Everyone was a bit confused with this one! 😂
Toralei is still looking for her furever home! She is SUPER sweet and affectionate. She absolutely loves to be held and cuddled. She is very vocal and loves to have conversations!
She would adjust to cats with patience!

Good Night Shelter!
As we close the door on another day at the shelter, we just wanted to share our nighttime routine. We try to bring as much peace and wellness into what could otherwise be very stressful days for these animals. Sweet dreams and happy thoughts that maybe tomorrow you’ll find your forever homes! ❤️(Turn up your volume).
