NADD Dock Diving competition is being held at Animal Watchers on August 18, 19, and 20th. The public can come and watch for free. Best time to come is between 9 and 11 a.m. For those that don't know what dock diving is, a dog runs down a dock (40 ft. long) and jumps into a pool (also 40 ft. long). The dog that jumps the longest distance is the winner. There is also a speed test for the fastest dog. Titles earned are recognized by the AKC (American Kennel Club). Unbelievable. They shot a dog who was turning away from them and was absolutely no threat to them. A few days ago there was a video of a totally out-of-control police dog. The dog would not release his hold on a guy's calve. Even with 3 policemen trying to get the dog off the guy, they couldn't get the dog off. But the police continue to kill innocent pets. The police need to be accountable in instances like this where no threat existed.

CLASS SCHEDULE
I am unable to edit our website at this time. The website should be up and running by Monday (July 10). In the meantime, the class schedule is listed below:
All classes are limited to 6 students.

Pet Owner Obedience Class Beginners, Tuesdays from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. 5 weeks long (July 18 to August 15) Cost is $70.

Scent Work - Beginners, Wednesdays from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m.
July 19 to August 16, 5 weeks, cost is $80.

Agility Advanced, Saturdays, 8 to 9:00 a.m., 5 weeks for $80.
Class will be held July 22, July 29, August 5, August 19 and Sept. 9. Trial season starts in August. That is why we have to skip some Saturdays.

Agility Beginners 9:30 to 10:3o a.m., Saturdays, 5 weeks for $80.

Dock Diving - Advanced, Your dog must be jumping off the dock to sign up for this class. Sundays, 8:00 to 9:30 a.m., Cost $80 for 4 weeks, July 23 to August 6.

Dock Diving Beginner, Sundays 10:00 to 11:30 a.m., Cost $80 for 4 weeks, July 23 to August 6. Your dog does not have to know how to swim to take this class.

I can't even begin to say what I would have done if I had been there. Although the video is hard to watch, I'm posting it here as I believe this woman needs to serve jail time. Finally, the U.S.Government is going to enforce their newer laws regarding animal abuse.
