BIG NEWS!! Bruce has been adopted!!! They had decided a couple weeks ago and we were able to take him to his new home today. They already have a piggy sister for him that they have had 4 years so the top pig rumble was a bit scary,but they are well prepared for a sweet piggy like Bruce. He will be getting so much love!!!

As of 10:47 last night we made our goal!!! I have already asked the straw guy when he can deliver so we can fill the straw barn for winter. Any extra donated will, of course, go into the rescue account for extra feed, or as a cushion for emergencies. If anyone knows how to work on an OLD (1985, I believe) RV, I know the starter needs work but we do have interior power. Id love to get it running so we can make more trips to W NC. The hotel prices are too much

You guys are AMAZING!!! Between donations here and on Venmo and cash app, we are just $68.23 short of making our goal!!

My enthusiasm to help those hit by Helene has gotten us into a bit of a fix. We were supposed to have an event Saturday that would have raised over $500. It was cancelled. That leaves us too low on funds for all of our winter prep. We NEED to raise $120 for straw and $288.23 for feed. As you know, we have sent far more than that to Helene survivors. Now it is time to ask for help for us. Every $4 buys a bale of straw. And if everyone chipped in just that much, we would be set for winter. We appreciate every single person who has been helping! More than you can imagine, and please know that in these hard times, we recognize your sacrifices to support us even more! Ps: pic is of a load of straw sent to W NC.

I want this cop to train all of animal control. I've caught so many by letting them (not me, chasing is IMPOSSIBLE) wear themselves out then pulling the van up and just grab and go piggy. *cough Tango!!! cough* I drove back and forth while he ran till he finally gave up.

Tango is back in the writer's room trying to come up with a Hungry Hungry Hippos joke 🤣

Baby Cheese passed away this morning. He started having balance issues and was supposed to have his imaging done this afternoon, but he went from stumbles yesterday, to serious difficulty breathing early this morning, and the emergency vet said it was time. His insides grew way faster than his outside did, and his poor little body couldn't handle it. Our prayers are with his foster mom, who I'm sure he will be waiting for, on the other side of Rainbow Bridge. She held him on her chest and told him he was loved till the end.
