How do we keep the pooches cool??? ❄️🌞
We go in the pool! We also have frozen lick mats to make sure the pooches are well entertained and maintaining proper temperatures! They're also enjoying our 68° enclosures during rest time. 💤💤💤
Please be sure to keep your pooches inside during these incredibly hot temperatures! It doesnt take long for them to overheat!

Let me tell you about Kat...❤️
She stalked me, for months, through COVID.
She stuck it out.
She was my first HQ employee, believing in my dream.
She showed up the first day I asked her to, with ONE pooch scheduled.
We had an idea, but we were totally winging it.
Today was her last day as an employee of HQ. She's RETIRING.🎉
We don't like it, at all. But we've also decided she's earned it. She's put in the work.
She's put in the blood, sweat, tears, laughs, cries and everything in between. 🙏💗
If you saw today the outpouring of love and loyalty she has created with the pooches of HQ, you would understand how truly an asset she really is.
She will be dearly missed, but as I told her from the first day I hired her, she's never getting rid of me!🤷🏼‍♀️🤪
Congratulations on your retirement, Kathy!!! We love you immensely and will miss you more!💗💗💗

In response to the unknown respiratory virus spreading across the nation. We want to assure you that your pooches health and well-being are our top priority. We have had no known cases come through our facility.

Pooch HQ has diligent sanitation procedures in place to help eliminate exposure. We have filters running 24/7 through our HVAC systems and air purifiers in common areas. To further eliminate exposure, we very strongly recommend avoiding places like dog parks, humane societies and any other place your pooch can be exposed to unfamiliar illnesses.

We are working with multiple local veterinarians as this plays out and will be advising and adjusting our response as needed.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns. If you currently have any reservations and would like to cancel them due to the uncontrollable circumstances, please know we will accommodate any decision with no consequence. 🐶🐾❤️

After 14 years on Warren Street, we've made so many friends and it's a bittersweet moment. We'll miss our friends in the neighborhood, but we'll still be pampering your pooches just a few miles away! We're writing to inform you Columbia County is experiencing a kennel cough outbreak at various facilities and dog parks. This is also happening nationwide. This typically happens at least once a year. Veterinarians in the area have been diagnosing multiple cases per day, and have informed us that the strain is vaccine resistant.

Unfortunately, we have seen a few cases in the past few days.
​
If your pooch presents with any symptoms, including cough, lethargy, runny nose, skipping meals, etc, please let us know immediately and keep your pooch home until symptoms subside. Call your veterinarian to inform them of your pooch's condition.

At Pooch HQ, we have strict cleaning procedures and adhere to them meticulously to avoid an outbreak at all costs. Bordetella is a required vaccination to be enrolled in any of our daycare and boarding programs, but does not protect against contracting every strain of the virus. If any of our pooches present with symptoms, we isolate them and call immediately for them to be picked up. Pooches are not allowed back until symptoms have completely subsided for at least 7 days.
