He worked on place while using food and introducing a clicker. The click I’m using specifically to mark the behavior I like. He has learned place, but introducing new concepts such as a clicker, a different dog bed, and using his meal, then we need to begin again.

I always like to have all the dogs I work with come together and be one. The dogs did well and we enjoyed our time together today.

Worked on my door drill getting into the car, driving around in the car quietly, getting out of the car, and waiting in the front entrance of a store. The two did great and just fun breaking up the training a bit.

Such a cool dog. Love having boarding dogs come back and be able to just relax with my dogs. My dogs if you notice have different privileges based on behavior. My border collie needs the most structure, so no couch privilege. Create coexistence in the home and have all the fun outside

I can teach you how to get great behavior in the home!!! I don’t show it a lot online because I need to make a living, but the best advice I can give is be consistent, clear, and set boundaries and rules. I like my dogs to sit when I am stopped if I want to talk to someone of if I drop something. All I do is add vertical pressure on the leash when I stop.

I do it with both the leash and no leash. Use a leash until the dog is with you and not putting any tension.

My border collie has come a long way. He has struggled with reactivity in the past and to see him playing and not barking and being too much makes me proud of the work we have done. It also reminds me to be as sympathetic to my clients as I need to be to my dog. As I always say, “How bad do you want it?” I can give you everything in the world and lead you to the water, but I can’t force you to drink it. It takes work every single day.
