Wow you are so lucky! I hear that phrase everyday. My response is always yes I am I am the luckiest girl in the world. What people don’t see is everything that had to happen for me to be “lucky”.

I believe there is a part of being lucky that is truly luck but there is also a big part that is luck we create.

I have been on this journey a long time and wouldn’t be here without a lot I mean a lot of people, and a lot of horses. Every person that I crossed paths with has helped me. I picked a village of people that I have listened to and have helped guide me. I also have ridden countless horses where everyone has taught me something different.

I have worked tirelessly on getting better everyday I ride I am striving to be better. I want to be better not just for myself but mainly for my horses. I believe what makes this sport hard is being able to see the horses as individuals. I ride 8-10 horses a day and each horse is their own individual. They have their own personality, stiffnesses and feelings. Being able to quickly adapt to their needs is what makes an ok rider to a great rider.

Thank you to all the people that have helped me on this journey it’s a lifetime of learning 🥰 my biggest thank you is to every horse who has given me the opportunity to ride them, learn from them it has been an honor.

Thank you ❤️

Friday Training Thoughts:

As a coach and observer, one of the biggest challenges is recognizing that each horse is unique. No one-size-fits-all approach! Adaptability, adjustment, and active listening are key. What worked yesterday may not today, and what suited a horse in '95 might not for a 2017 companion. This sport demands flexibility and an open mind. Seek a coach who embraces diverse experiences and understands the need for a flexible training program.

As a passionate equestrian, I often reflect on the invaluable lessons I have learned from my four-legged companions. Riding isn't just about mastering top horses in fancy lessons; it's about the untamed spirit of the pony that tests your determination daily, the ex-western horse turned pony club champion, and the mare that carried me from backyard shows to around the country.

True balance, timing, and skill are not honed in the confines of a lesson ring but in the exhilarating ba****ck races around the pasture and the adventures of all-day trail rides. These experiences, shared with horses that challenge and inspire, shape us in profound ways. They teach resilience, empathy, and the importance of building a genuine connection.

I've had the privilege of riding many exceptional horses, each one a stepping stone on my journey. But it's the spirited ponies, the unconventional champions, and the trusted companions that have left the deepest impact. These horses are the unsung heroes, the ones who mold us into the riders and trainers we become.

So, to all parents eager to put their kids in top lessons on top horses, consider the beauty of allowing them to explore the uncharted territories of horsemanship. Let them revel in the ba****ck races and the all-day trail rides, for it's in these moments that they discover the true essence of riding – a blend of joy, challenge, and profound connection.

Here's to the remarkable horses that shape us, and to the endless adventures that lie ahead!

Navigating the Dressage industry is tough and we often question if it’s all worth it…
Can I continue in this industry? The world of dressage is a realm of elegance, discipline, and unwavering dedication, but it's also undeniably demanding. The challenges, both personal and professional, can sometimes cast shadows on our passion.

**Doubting Abilities**

Doubting our abilities is a natural part of any journey, especially one as rigorous as dressage training. The industry demands not just skill, but also resilience, patience, and a boundless love for these magnificent creatures. In the face of setbacks and financial pressures, questioning our worth as trainers can be all too common.

**The Hardships We Face**

The dressage industry, like many others, presents its unique set of challenges. From finding clients and maintaining a steady income to dealing with the physical toll this profession takes on our bodies, the hardships can feel overwhelming. Moreover, the ever-evolving standards and competition make it hard to keep up, leading to self-doubt.

**Finding Strength in Community**

Amidst the struggles, there's solace in the support of our fellow trainers. Sharing our stories, doubts, and triumphs can create a sense of belonging. We learn that we're not alone in our fears and uncertainties. The dressage community becomes a source of inspiration, reminding us that every seasoned trainer once stood where we stand today.

**Embracing Continuous Learning**

Dressage is an art that demands perpetual learning. Embracing this learning curve can transform self-doubt into an opportunity for growth. As trainers, we must invest in ourselves, honing our skills, attending workshops, and seeking mentorship. With knowledge comes confidence, enabling us to face challenges head-on.

**Rediscovering Passion**

When doubts cloud our path, it's essential to reconnect with the passion that led us into this world in the first place. Remember the joy of witnessing a horse and rider harmonize, the thrill of a breakthrough moment, and the satisfaction of nurturing a partnership. Let these moments reignite the fire within, reminding us why we chose this path.

**Moving Forward**

Questioning our abilities doesn't diminish our worth as dressage trainers. Instead, it's a testament to our dedication. By acknowledging our doubts, seeking support, and nurturing our passion, we can navigate the hardships of this industry. Remember, every stride forward, no matter how small, is a testament to our resilience. Together, as a community bound by our love for horses and the art of dressage, we can overcome any challenge that comes our way.

*Keep riding, keep training, and never forget the extraordinary impact you have on the lives of both horses and riders.*

This post aims to provide encouragement and support to dressage trainers facing self-doubt. It emphasizes the importance of community, continuous learning, and rediscovering passion as ways to overcome challenges in the industry.*

I wanted to take a moment to share a gentle reminder that every horse and rider combination has their own beautiful journey. It's crucial not to get caught up in comparing our progress solely based on scores. Instead, let's focus on celebrating each step forward and finding joy in the process.

Sometimes, a win isn't just about ribbons or high marks. It can be as simple as getting in the saddle on a challenging day. Each ride is an opportunity for growth and connection with our equine partners. The bond we build, the trust we nurture—it's invaluable, and it can't be measured by a scorecard.

Remember, comparing yourself to others or your horse to other horses can be a recipe for dissatisfaction and self-doubt. Each partnership is unique, with its own strengths, weaknesses, and areas of growth. Embrace your journey and focus on your own progress. Comparison steals the joy from what makes your partnership special.

Even on the darkest days, it's important to seek out the light. Every setback is an opportunity for learning and resilience. Trust in the process, believe in your abilities, and remember that even small steps forward are meaningful. The journey may have its ups and downs, but it's those challenges that make the triumphs all the more rewarding.

Let's support one another and create a community where we lift each other up, celebrate our individual achievements, and offer encouragement during the tough times. Together, we can foster an environment of positivity, growth, and appreciation for the unique path each of us is on.

So, here's to embracing the journey, relishing the small victories, and finding the light even on the darkest days. Keep shining, keep growing, and keep enjoying the incredible bond we share with our amazing horses.

We're all on a journey to excel in this judged sport, but let's not forget that our judges are human too, and they've never witnessed perfection themselves. 🐴🌿 The Importance of Feeding Vitamin E for Horses 🌟

Hey horse lovers! Today, I want to highlight the significance of including vitamin E in our horses' diets. 🍏🥕

Vitamin E plays a crucial role in maintaining our equine friends' health and well-being. As a powerful antioxidant, it helps protect their cells from damage caused by free radicals, which can arise from normal metabolic processes and external factors.

One of the key benefits of vitamin E is its support for the immune system. It enhances the immune response, which helps horses fight off infections and aids in their overall health. Keeping their immune system strong is vital, especially during times of stress or when horses are exposed to new environments.

Another critical role of vitamin E is its contribution to muscle function. Horses require healthy muscles for various activities, including riding, jumping, and even grazing. This essential vitamin helps maintain muscle integrity and can support horses in performing at their best.

Additionally, vitamin E has been linked to improved fertility and reproductive health in horses. For breeding operations or those planning to breed their horses, ensuring an adequate intake of vitamin E can have positive effects on reproductive function.

It's important to note that horses may not always receive sufficient vitamin E from forage alone, especially if they have limited access to fresh pasture or if the forage quality is compromised. In such cases, supplementation becomes crucial to meet their nutritional needs.

However, it's essential to consult with a veterinarian or equine nutritionist before adding vitamin E supplements to your horse's diet. They can assess your horse's specific requirements and guide you on the appropriate dosage and form of supplementation, be it natural sources, fortified feeds, or oral supplements.

Let's prioritize our horses' health and well-being by ensuring they receive the necessary amount of vitamin E. Together, we can support their immune systems, muscle function, and overall vitality for a happy and thriving equine companion!

Would love to hear stories of how vitamin e have helped your equine athletes succeed!

My favorite vitamin E is of course the Kentucky Performance Products!

🐴📚 Continuing Education in the Equestrian World: Unlocking the Secrets of Horse Biomechanics and Equine Massage Therapy 🌟

Hey fellow equestrians! 🌾🐎

I wanted to share my thoughts on the importance of continuing education in our beloved equestrian world. 🤓🏇 It's crucial for us to constantly expand our knowledge and explore new areas that can enhance our understanding of our magnificent equine partners. Today, I'd like to highlight two areas that have captured my interest: horse biomechanics and equine massage therapy.

Understanding horse biomechanics is like having a backstage pass to the magic happening beneath the saddle. By delving into this subject, we gain insights into how our horses move, how their bodies function, and how we can optimize their performance. Learning about their skeletal structure, muscular system, and the way they distribute weight can help us ride with more precision, improve our horse's balance, and prevent injuries.

Equine massage therapy is another incredible tool in our equestrian toolkit. It goes beyond the blissful relaxation for our equine friends; it can be a key factor in maintaining their physical well-being. By understanding the power of touch and learning massage techniques specifically tailored for horses, we can identify areas of tension, promote circulation, relieve muscle soreness, and even aid in injury recovery.

Both horse biomechanics and equine massage therapy remind us of the interconnectedness between horse and rider. As we educate ourselves in these areas, we strengthen our partnership and become better advocates for our equine companions. We empower ourselves to make informed decisions about training methods, tack selection, and overall horse care.

So, let's embrace the value of continuing education in the equestrian world! Let's dive into the fascinating world of horse biomechanics and explore the art of equine massage therapy. Together, we can deepen our bond with our horses, promote their well-being, and unlock new levels of joy and success in our equestrian journey. 🌟🏆

The Hidden Struggles of the Dressage Industry:

Behind the Scenes of striving for perfection

In the spotlight of competition arenas, riders present polished performances that showcase their hours of practice and tireless efforts. But what you may not see is the countless hours of training, the setbacks, and the quiet battles that shape their journey. Dressage demands an exceptional level of skill, precision, and partnership between horse and rider. Achieving that level of harmony is an ongoing process that requires an unwavering commitment.

Behind every impeccable ride, there are countless moments of self-doubt, frustration, and even tears. Riders face the pressure of constantly pushing their limits, refining their techniques, and developing a deep bond with their equine partners. The journey towards mastery is paved with setbacks, missed steps, and disappointments. It takes unwavering determination and resilience to overcome these hurdles and continue striving for excellence.

What makes the dressage industry particularly challenging is the pursuit of perfection. Riders strive for that elusive moment where horse and rider move as one, seemingly effortlessly. But achieving this level of synchronization is an arduous task. Countless hours are spent practicing transitions, perfecting movements, and honing the rider's seat and aids. The process can be mentally and physically demanding, pushing riders to their limits both emotionally and physically.

The external image portrayed by successful dressage riders often emphasizes their achievements, leaving little room to discuss the struggles and losses along the way. But it's essential to remember that no rider is exempt from setbacks and failures. Even the most accomplished equestrians face their fair share of challenges. Behind the scenes, they fight battles against self-doubt, setbacks, and moments of vulnerability.

By acknowledging the hidden struggles within the dressage industry, we can foster a more compassionate and supportive community. Sharing stories of resilience and perseverance can inspire others to keep going despite the hardships they may encounter. Behind every victory, there are untold stories of struggle, persistence, and personal growth.

So, the next time you witness a breathtaking dressage performance, remember that behind that moment lies a journey of dedication and determination. Let us celebrate not only the victories but also the countless efforts, sacrifices, and unseen battles that shape the world of dressage. And let us support one another, recognizing that even in the pursuit of greatness, we all face challenges along the way. 🌟🐴

Every horse no matter the level needs to work on the basics. Fendi and I have taken some time this March to really check in and work on him using his body to the best of his ability. I have had the absolute pleasure with working with Richard Malmgren on the long lines. This has helped Fendi take responsibility of his own body and work on pure balance and relaxation 😊 looking forward to this coming summer show season and getting him into the FEI ring shortly 💃🏼
