Our staff are shocked Adaline hasn't been scooped up yet! 🤯 She's only a year old and has a big personality. She loves carrying around her favorite toys in her mouth. ❤️

She's used to living with other cats, so a multi cat household would be okay with her. In fact, Adaline might prefer to have a playmate. 🥰

A pup-date from one of our longer resident dogs. ❤️ Kai was with us for 125 days while he waited for the perfect family to come along.

Kai is living his best life with his new family! 💞 He's got 3 new 4 legged friends 🐶 and Kai couldn't be happier about it!

"He settled right in and he definitely completes our family". ❤️

The cutest thing about Mia (other than literally everything)... is you never really know how her ears are going to be. 🥰

Mia has an amazing personality and she's quickly stole the hearts of our staff. ❤️ She never fails to make us laugh with her silliness. 🤪

She's around a year and a half, good with other dogs but still needs to be cat tested. 🐾

Mirabelle loves being on TV! 📺 Shh... don't tell her it isn't real. 🤫

This gorgeous girl 😻 loves being the center of attention and soaking up all the pets! ❤️ She can get a bit overstimulated at times, but don't hold that against her. 😃

She's laid back yet affectionate when she wants to be. And she loves to be brushed! Stop by and ask to meet Mirabelle! 🥰

Bessy and Lucy are 2 adorable 6 month old pitbull/hound puppies 🐶 and they are patiently waiting for their forever homes! ❤️

These two are extremely energetic and will need an active household that can keep up. 💥 Since they are still puppies, potty training and basic manner training will be needed for both, but they are food motivated and ready to learn! ❤️

These 2 do not need to be adopted together.

What a busy month! With the donation from Subaru, we were able to waive our adoption fees for the first half of October... and it paid off! 😁 16 dogs, 43 cats and 1 rabbit found their forever homes in October. 🏡

We wish nothing but the best to all of our new fur parents. 🥰 And thank you to everyone who continues to support CGHS.

November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month, so it's time to give our older babies a little extra love. ❤️

Our adoption fees are waived if you adopt a senior pet with CGHS, which means all dogs over the age of 7 and cats over the age of 10 are free. 🥰

Columbia-Greene Humane Society will be at the 45th Annual Oms PTA Craft Fair. The event will be held at the O'Rourke Middle School at 173 Lake Hill Road in Burnt Hills. The fair is from 9am-3pm.

We will have a variety of items for sale that include homemade hats, lap blankets, homemade queen sized blankets, fingerless gloves, art work, pillows, a pine plant stand and more! Hope to see you there. 🙂

Don't forget about your local shelter for your pocket pets! 🐾 We've got 3 handsome gentlemen waiting for their forever homes. 🐹 Tony and Ezekiel are brothers and we'd love for them to be adopted together. 🤞 Tacklebox was found wandering outside by a fishing spot and quickly brought to CGHS. All 3 are incredibly friendly and are looking for the perfect home. ❤️

Kiera is a 6 and a half year old Shepherd mix, and she's looking for a very special home. Kiera was found as a stray, so a lot of her history is unknown to us. But what we do know is she's had quite the journey.

She was wandering the streets for almost 2 weeks before she was brought to us. She was shy, skinny, and very tired. Kiera was apprehensive about trusting our staff at first, but she quickly came around with the help of lots of treats and patience. She's a staff favorite, and for a good reason. For as shy as she can be, Kiera has shown us her amazing personality, and she never fails to make our staff laugh. Her favorite thing, other than people, is water. She had a great time splashing around in the pool this summer! (Check out the videos in the comments. 👇👇👇)

Kiera can still be a little nervous, even with her most trusted people. She's loves affection, but she doesn't want to be hung all over. She gives endless tail wags and very small kisses to show her love. We think kids over the age of 16 are best for Kiera. She does need to be the only pet in the home, but she's got more than enough love to offer! Keira has called the shelter home for 7 months now, and that's far too long.

CGHS/SPCA would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us on Saturday, October 19th, for the 110th Anniversary Celebration of Lacy Subaru in Catskill. Subaru has been a steadfast and generous supporter of CGHS/SPCA, and this year, through their Subaru Loves Pets program, they once again demonstrated their commitment to animals in need.

In honor of this milestone, Subaru sponsored our pet adoptions leading up to the event, and we are thrilled to announce that 42 animals found their forever homes! Thanks to their sponsorship, 11 dogs, 30 cats, and 1 rabbit now have loving families to call their own.

We are incredibly grateful for Subaru's partnership and for the community's support in helping these animals find their new homes!
