Wow what a long few days.
It started the day of the 25th. I knew coming yearling Cause was in early labor. By evening chores I could see her progressing but knew as with all FF it would be slow. I check cameras every hour and sure enough at 400 am she was down and starting to push. I walk into the barn and see two feet. Good, toes up. I run to get towels from the parlor and by the time I got back, the two front feet are sticking out. No head. I reach in only to be greeted with a back. What the heck?! Where is this kids dang head? Deep down between the legs is where it is. It took me an hour of maneuvering, the hubby picking her hind end up, only to have the head get stuck behind her cervix. I was almost at my breaking point and put a call into my vet. While waiting I decided to go in once more. A lottle.more maneuvering and I was able to get the head around and one leg heading in the right direction. So I pulled and out popped a very much alive buck kid!! As of today, Cause is 100% and has fallen in line with the rest of the older does like a pro. I am thankful these Atlas daughters are wide!!
Then, the early morning of the 27th around 2am, buyback 2yo doe LT (QMF LITTLE TRINITY) delivered an easy set of buck / doe twins! Textbook labor and delivery. Doe is retained.
That afternoon we were heading into the barn to grab some kids to be disbudded when I see SG QMF DROPS OF JUPITER 3*M EX91 isolated and down. She was due but showed no signs of impending labor. To my surprise she is stringing and just about ready to push. At 4:40pm, Jupiter delivers her buck / Doe twins. The buck is extra large and thick and looks exactly like his dam, the doe is very feminine yet is extremely reminiscent of her sire ADDI-HILL LONO SOOTHSAYER.
