Purplebrown Farmstead is part of the Countryside Initiative Program in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. We have applied the permaculture design process to develop a long term vision for these 12 acres, and are beginning to make changes to the landscape, contour by contour. We produce a lot of diverse fruit, berries, mushrooms, perennial vegetables, herbs, flowers, and animal products. We look forward to working together with others to grow a more resilient NEO!

🚨 We’re urging the USDA to reconsider their decision to terminate Produce Perks funding. For 9 years, this program has helped Ohio families buy fresh fruits & veggies while supporting local farmers & economies.

In 2024 alone, the program generated $3.6M in local economic impact and supported over 670 Ohio farmers. Let’s keep that momentum going.
