Ever wonder how baby mushrooms are made? … we’ll it isn’t the birds and bees!! Our freshly pasteurized substrate mix of 50/50% oak/soy is carefully inoculated with colonized oat grain spawn, sealed… and placed into our colonization room to allow the mycelium a nice dark, quiet place to begin spreading through their new nutritious home!!

Catching a hummingbird 18ft in the air that’s been trapped inside the building for days… not easy 😅 We gave him a feeder during his stint inside the mushroom farm, so at least he wasn’t hungry. Freeeeeeedommmmm!

We have been filling each bottle individually by hand for so long, that it almost seems like cheating using this…. It’s so easy, and saves so much time and labor.

New life, out of forgotten bags… :) Fun to watch the mushrooms release spores, almost puts you in a trance, watching them dance upon the air.
