Tina is doing much better now that cooler weather has arrived. I thought we were going to lose her this past summer when temperatures soared to 109 degrees. We’ve had her about ten years and our vet estimates that she is in her 30’s. She has rheumatism in her joints but still is able to maintain a sweet disposition unless hoof trimming is involved and then she is a one donkey bucking contest.

National Daughter Day - this is Scout; one of three rescued miniature horses we took in last year. I have quite a few daughters but none are actually human and most have four legs.

Beautiful little Scout, one of the miniature horses that we rescued last year. I’ve been working with her, her daughter Dusty, and husband Shaman - such a sweet little family. They had been badly mistreated so it’s taken time and patience to even be able to put my hands on them. Scout still gives me side eye but will eat out of my hand - a big accomplishment.

The Geese are getting ready to learn a line dance.

The Rescue Barn of Huffman, Texas rescued some local geese. They are now forming a country western band. Their album should be out soon. 😁
