Stacy is the owner, Usui/Holy Fire III Reiki Master Teacher, Canine Podiatry Nail Trim Specialist, Certified Canine Massage Therapist, Certified Equine Sports Massage Therapist, and Certified PetTech Pet CPR and First Aid Instructor here at Crescent Moon Healing. Having an affinity for animals since she was a little girl, Stacy grew her understanding and connection to animals as she rode horses competitively and cared for them around the barn throughout her adolescence.
After her first “real” job at a small pet boarding facility, Stacy began working at age 16 for Advanced Animal Care in Mt. Pleasant, SC, as a Veterinary Technician Assistant. She worked her way up to the position of Veterinary Technician and went on to graduate Cum Laude from Trident Technical College with an Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology and an “Excellence in Pain Management” Award in 2005.
In 2008, after working for a few years as Head Tech at Advanced Animal Care, Stacy—with the help of her parents—opened Meow, Bark and Board in Huger, SC. She ran her own small animal boarding facility primarily by herself until her sister came aboard in 2015. Since opening, Meow, Bark and Board has grown by leaps and bounds under Stacy’s passionate leadership, and it now supports a full staff of compassionate pet care professionals.
Stacy felt that there may be something more to her calling of helping animals. It was in 2009 when the practice of Reiki came into her life. At the recommendation of a friend, she received her first session of this energy healing and immediately knew that it was the “something more” in life that she had been missing. Stacy became certified in Usui Reiki Levels Once, Two and Three then completed her Traditional Usui Reiki Master Teacher Training in late 2014. On February 11th, 2019, Stacy furthered her Reiki training by becoming a Usui/Holly Fire III Reiki Master Teacher. This next level in the Reiki energy increases and compliments all the other healing modalities in Stacy’s practice.
Stacy has been working with as many pets and people as possible to help facilitate healing and to help improve their lives through Reiki. Her goals for the future are to bring the benefits of Reiki to the animal care community, offer education and certification in Usui/Holy Fire III Reiki, and obtain additional certifications to compliment the work she is already doing. Stacy is also certified in Royal Gems Level Two, Columbia Healing Lights, graduated from Equisage with an Equine Sports Massage Therapy and Companion Animal Massage Therapy Certification in March of 2016, and earned her certification as a Pet CPR and First Aid Instructor through PetTech in February of 2017. Her up-coming courses in study include Raw Dog Food Nutrition, Acute Canine Herbalism, Acute Canine Homeopathy all through Dog Naturally University as well as PACCC certified (https://paccert.org/).
Stacy's vast knowledge and experience in pet care makes her the perfect "go to" person for your pet's non-medical needs as well as your own spiritual or energetic needs!
-Reiki is a Japanese technique of energy healing. It is non-invasive, alternative and complimentary to Western Medicine. It is a healing practice that promotes overall health and well-being. Reiki works with the animal or human's life force energy to facilitate their own healing. The word "Reiki" comes from two Japanese words. Rei can be understood as meaning "universal, universal consciousness, or God consciousness" and Ki is "life energy, prana, or Qi." Benefits of Reiki include but are certainly not limited to healing of emotional trauma, physical trauma, sickness, surgery, nervousness, anxiety, aggression, maintenance of overall health, and transition during euthanasia.
-Equine Sports Massage Therapy and Canine Therapeutic Massage Therapy have many health benefits for the recipient. Massage enhances muscle tone, increases range of motion, assists in balancing the body by treating the body as a whole, promotes healing by increasing the flow of nutrients to the muscles, carries away excessive fluids and toxins, stimulates circulation, releases endorphins, and helps to maintain the whole body in better physical condition.
-Combining Massage and Reiki is a natural partnership in healing modalities. I am able to see pets at their home, vet’s office, barn, boarding kennel, or at my Pixie Shack in Huger, SC.
-Reiki Training is gem of Crescent Moon Healing. My goal is to bring Reiki to the animal care community. All animals (and people) benefit from receiving Reiki. If we can facilitate healing while a pet is under anesthesia, recovering from surgery or an illness, during a grooming session, training session or any other situation that may cause fear or anxiety, why wouldn't we offer it. Also, rescue animals that may have encountered some traumatic situations benefit greatly from the healing Reiki provides. Anyone can be a Reiki Practitioner! I offer classes at my Pixie Shack and abroad.
-Canine Nail Trims and Nail Trim Workshops are important services Crescent Moon Healing offers. The feet are the foundation. If your dog’s nails are too long, their posture is pushed backwards, and their alignment is out balance. Proper nail trims are essential for keeping our dogs’ joints in alignment. The simple act of routine nail trims will prevent a host of injuries and chronic stress of every joint and organ in the body. Learn how to properly restrain and trim your dog’s nails, and you could potentially avoid costly vet visits in the future. This can also help treat dogs with arthritis. By giving our dogs a natural foundation, their joints can function as they are intended.
