Jasper was groomed !
He is a special little man who needs an experienced owner! He has some training he will need to complete! He is your typical terrier / napoleon complex dog who would do best in an adult
Only situation. He can be picky for his canine company but lived with a Great Dane .

Today was one of those days that went from amazingly happy for Franny getting adopted to devastating and sad as we said goodbye to longtime goat residents Meredith and Ellen.
A few months back all the goats were tested by our vet for diseases and parasites and Ellen (ellie as my kids called her )and Meredith came back positive forJohne’s disease. They must have lived with it for years and as they aged their symptoms became more apparent.(not eating, loosing weight, not absorbing nutrients . It’s an awful disease with no cure and contagious to other ruminants.
Meredith and Ellen will forever be missed but what comforts us is the long life they had here and all the peace they had to live out their lives freely, and away from fear. They were never subject to human exploitation here, they simply lived as goats would live freely but well cared for by their human guardians.
In taking on a role in an animal sanctuary and rescue you almost forget there will be hard decisions to make and face death as much as we face rescue. Many of our sanctuary animals have been here 15 years and were already adults when they got here.
With our boards guidance and support they help me navigate these hard times and support me as I strive to give dignity to those at the end of their days here.
I would like to thank Sally for being by my side today and while I could do nothing but cry , she was my strength reminding me why we do what we do…. To give every living creature care, comfort , dignity and love pain free.
Thank you Jaye for loving these goats like they were your children and tending to their every need.
We worked hard getting all the animals vetted this year and assessing quality of life and improving life here at the sanctuary.
It’s not an easy job, and it’s even harder saying goodbye to these animals you care for every single day.
Thank you for our wonderful community who supports what we do here.
I need a good cry , and I need to be at peace with this so I can keep saving lives even those at the end of theirs….

As executive director of animal manor, I’d like to share some insights on our sanctuary.
We are 💯 not for profit .
I do not get paid, rather I donate all of my pet sitting money to run the sanctuary as well as any public donations or grants. We are not funded by the town, city , state or federal govt. I pay one employee part time to help ensure we get everyone cared for everyday .

This , we're asking for your help to support the dogs and cats and farm animals , our rescue is home to (a cow , four goats, and one horse, 4 pigs, ducks , and chickens )
Some were born into horrendous circumstances while others were rescued as babies, found dying on the streets. Some came to us injured, disabled, maimed, or abused. They have all found their forever home with us, but now, we need your help.

We rescue any animal in need of help, no matter how big or small. Every other week, we have large stacks of hay, delivered and teice a week piles of fresh vegetables, oats to keep them healthy, happy, and full.
However, in the winter, when grazing isn’t an option, we purchase every single item of food, which becomes an enormous expense.
Truckloads of hay are delivered, and we're constantly running to the market for fresh vegetables. Our dedicated sanctuary team (me … unpaid and Jaye part time , and some dedicated volunteers get their daily workout hauling giant bags of food. It takes hours of work and immense heavy lifting. Yet, at the end of the day, seeing these rescued animals happy, healthy, and full makes it all worth it.

Here at our facility, we feed these farm animals in addition to the 30 cats in our care. The cost is enormous, and right now, we are struggling. We are in the thick of winter, and our heating bills and electric bills are at an all time high !
We are desperate for your help to keep these precious animals fed and vetted.
We cannot do this alone. Every meal matters. Every animal matters!
