Had a chance to get a picture of Tim (tiny Tim). My land whale Annie is finally bagging up. Looks like fanci is bred and has exploded this last week.
Since I pasture breed and was busy with hay last year, guessing the girls played hard to get before I pulled jr. Needless to say, their not getting bred back until next year 😣

I’ve decided to offer inara as a 2n1. Due for a May 2025 foal. Excellent mom. She’s sweet but very untrusting of anyone around her head or below the knees. I got her as a 2 year old and have not been able to get a halter on her yet. But she will let me curry her entire body and pet her at the same time as long as I don’t try to get too close to her face or below the knees. I unfortunately think the previous owners were rough with her. Unfortunately, she needs someone who can spend a lot more time with her than I can to reverse what’s been done.
She’s not mean, so if someone is fine with a range mare she’d be a perfect candidate for that. But she’s still young enough someone could start her after she has her 2025 foal. Great home is a must!

Jake and sweety are shedding. Jake’s face is turning black and body is blue roan. Sweety went from typical bay to brown. I’m praying for a blue roan filly next year but not holding my breath.

These two jr daughters are returning home. 8 (bay/brown) and 7 (sorrel) years old.
8 yr old is registered but not dna’d, tested and 7 yr old needs registered, dna’d and tested.

Hard to believe I’ve had her 17 of her 21 years. Seems like yesterday I picked her up with cat in her belly.

Stormy is getting rebred to bluey for a 2025 blue roan hopefully filly 🤔
Brought dolly home who’s been bred to Jake as well as Lily being bred to Jake. So I’ll have 1 roan and 2 buckskins!
I’ll be picking Jolene up June 1 and dropping her off June 2 to get bred to marked for greatness.

My friend Jake Barlow asked me to post his c**t, can be gelded. He’s waiting for dna/disease panel to from Uc Davis to be completely so he will have AQHA papers. Bred perfect for barrels or roping. Guessing he should top out at 15.3/16.0. He’s flashy, sweet and smart! Jake would also consider trading him for a stud c**t of equal caliber that’s homozygous black or dun.

Next year I’ve got 2 hopeful Houdini babies (young stud). They’ll be tobiano. I’ll throw his two girls in with jr first part of June to make sure they are bred.
I’ll have 2 Jake babies (both I’m hoping will be buckskin).
1 bluey baby good probability of roan
5 possibly 6 jr babies

Cat and inara got turned out today with jr. So I know I’ll have 5 April babies next year. Dreamer has decided to start coming into heat and that jr is a dreamy stud 😉. If she settles than she will be 6 due in April. Kyle Mitchell I’m praying you get a flashy buckskin tobiano filly!

Sassy’s hard copy registration is in hand but I’ve included the digital copy showing color and disease panel results. Unfortunately she’s not homozygous 😞. But disease panel is negative! Will be available after October 1, 2024.

Cats babies are always the sweetest! She’s super affectionate and will learn manners but while she’s being friendly I’m using her to convince the other babies I’m a friend/family! Jake wasn’t sure he wanted me to love on him until he saw sweety going bonkers for rubs, scratches and curry comb. Let’s not forget kisses!
I have to get Sassys halter off before I swap mares around so jr can get them bred. Still trying to decide if cat should go in with Houdini or not 🤔

Jolene will be returning to her original home June 2nd. She’s a full sister to Munecos precious mint. I’ll be breeding her to homozygous studs that aren’t bay or sorrel only unless the stud has all the other boxes ✅. I better start getting used to ai 😂.

If I continue breeding cat (age 16) to jr (age 17) the next foal line ups are:
2025 Solid c**t age 17
2026 Solid filly age 18
2027 Colored c**t age 19
2028 Solid filly age 20
2029 Solid c**t age 21
2030 Colored filly age 22

If bred to Houdini the foals will all be colored but I don’t know what her schedule would look like. Decisions!

Cat stayed true to her schedule! Loud filly! She’ll go under Houdini this year so we’ll see if next years foal will be a c**t. It’ll be colored cause he’s homozygous or should I keep her under jr?
