It is with a sad heart that I am finally ready to say out loud that I will NOT be heading down to Georgia to photograph with SANTA this year. It has been my favorite part of my business for the past 14 years. But, It is very hard to travel down especially with my family and my 4 legged family so I will not be shooting this season. I will be checking in with Santa Culp shortly and will find out where he will be visiting over the season and will let you know so that you may be able to visit him with another photographer. I have sent all the messages and emails out that I have received so far for Santa. If you message or email me and haven't heard back yet, please sent again. FYI: I only have one space left on Friday, November 16th for Santa and it is at 4:20 p.m. I still have several spaces on Saturday. I have a few between 9:10 and 9:50 and more available after 11:20 - 1:00. Please share the information with other friends and family that might like to visit Santa.

Most of you guys know that my husband and I have moved. We ended up in Cookeville, TN. It really is last minute planning, but after many requests, Santa and I are coming back for a short visit. Attached is the flyer for this year’s Santa sessions. Here are a few extra details: This year I will only be able to offer 2 days instead of 3 (so sign up ASAP) because it will fill up quickly. Sign up is always first come, first serve. They will be held in the Madison County area with a location to be announced.
Because of my distance with the move, I will be offering digital files again this year. (via digital download)
I am taking appointments through email and facebook messaging. Please give me 24 hours to response back with your date and time. In your request, please include date and time of interest and I try to put you in as close as I can if the slots are available. I will email you back and you will have 24 hours to confirm your appt time.

Since the HOUSE IS UNDER CONTRACT, operation CLEAN OUT and DOWNSIZE is underway! Prepping for the yard sale next week. Let bit of everything. We are way downsizing the house and I am cleaning out 15 years of living here. I am also cleaning out the studio some with props and furniture. Mark your calendar. IT IS NOT AT MY HOUSE. IT IS IN ATHENS AT 245 Fairway DR. Athens (In Country Club Estate subdivision off of Hwy 129) That garage is already full. I am now cleaning out the 10 x 20 storage until that I have of unfinished projects and estate sale finds PLUS more.... I will be posting more pic through the week.

I can finally say out loud that our HOUSE IS UNDER CONTRACT. It's hard to be happy and sad at the same time. So that means, watch for the sale! Since it is just Chris and I moving, we are majorly downsizing! (Even though we don't know were we are going to be living) I'm going to be cleaning out the studio and selling some props and backgrounds and furniture to help make the move more manageable. As well as the almost 15 years of surplus all over the house. Planning the yard sale for April 21 and 22nd in Athens and will be posting bigger stuff here. There will also be a large pile of "Take it if you need it stuff" Like this post to watch for it!!!!

Hey Everyone,

I appreciate everyone’s patience with getting the Santa packages ready for delivery. It takes a while to get everything ready and with my crazy life, sometimes it takes a day longer.

I mailed the first round of packages yesterday and the rest of the mailed package will go out today. (I had to wait on UPS to delivery and they were later than normal yesterday due to a FULL truck) So, if you are expecting a mailed package, watch your mailbox!!

I know this is quick notice but the first drop-in pick up is scheduled for today, Friday, December 9th from 4 – 6:00 at the studio. And, tomorrow, Saturday, December 10th from 10:30 – noon at the studio. These are time that you can stop by and pick up your packages in the studio without an appointment. If you are unable to come by during one of these time, please email me and we will set up a time for you to stop by.

As many of you know, I am in the process of selling my house and moving out of state to join my hubby who has been gone for almost 5 months. There is a big possibility that I will not be available from Monday, December 12th - Thursday December 15 for pick up. (Not 100 % sure) but you are welcome to message me to check.

On another note: I have had multiple families ask about next year. I spoke with Santa, and we do plan to carry on our tradition with Santa portraits next year around here. ( We will just find a spot to rent for space) I will be moving, but my children (both in college here), my mom and other family members are here, so I will be back in the area on a regular basis. I appreciate all of my friends and clients and clients that have become precious friends over the past 14 years. This has been a wonderful place to raise my family, create my business and meet lots and lots of special people along the way. But, Chris and I have been married 26 years and this move is where he needs to be at this time in his career. He is my soul mate and I will follow him wherever he needs to be.

So so so, excited to hear my dogs start barking and see that big brown box truck coming down my driveway this morning. I will be announcing drop by Santa pick up and mailing package as soon as I get it all sorted. YAY!

HELP!!!!! The person that was suppose to help me in the studio tomorrow for SANTA pictures has had a family emergency and is unavailable. I even have one Saturday spot that opened up because of a trade in times.

Ok, so this just happened!!!! It is official now. My house is on the market. Please share this post with your friends and family. Chris is already working in KY and where is he is, is where I am suppose to be. We have plans in the works for Kristin and Chase, so that makes me feel a little better.
They didn't show it in the pictures, but if you know me, I am super excited by the gravel on my driveway.
I love my house. I know someone else will also. Thanks for sharing.

Dear Friends and Clients:
My email list is still not complete from my computer crash last year, but I wanted to give you guys a heads up to the FACEBOOK post that I am getting ready to make. I am attaching it here for you guys to know what is going on with me, my family and business. Email me with any questions. I think I can answer them now.

I guess it is about time that I write this out and start my own July Fireworks. It has been in the works for some time now and some people have heard, but we have not made it public knowledge yet. It is true. Today is Chris’s last working day with Columbia Farms. He has accepted a job with Cobb in Albany, Kentucky and we will be relocating to that area…. He will start his new job in 2 weeks. Yes, my house is going for sale. I will be staying here until it sales. Kristin and Chase are both in school and work here so they will be staying here in Athens. I haven’t talked about it or announced anything to very many people. Lots of my close friends don’t even know. I still get a little wippy talking about it. It has been extremely emotional thinking about leaving my kids behind. Leaving my family behind, especially my mom and selling the home that our kids were raised in. We have been working hard and focusing on finding Kristin and Chase a place to settle into here in town. Once that is done, I can get a little more excited about the new opportunities ahead.

I am still working here. After the move and settling time, I will start my photography studio up in our new area. But, I will be here on special occasions and a lot of road trips. (My kids and family are HERE)

There are a lot of unknowns. I have no idea how long it will take to sell our home and when the big move will take place. Chris will commute on the weekends for a while even though it is a decent drive. We are steadily working on getting the house ready to go on the market. (painting/ fixing/ cleaning) If you know anyone looking for a great house in a wonderful location, have them email me for more info.
I know this a shock to a lot of people. We have been in our home for 14 years. We (mostly me) have collected lots and lots of stuff. We will be cleaning out, yard selling, giving away, donating and trashing lots of stuff. Chris and I are really looking forward to downsizing. I will be thinning out the studio as well.

This leads to other issues. Work: My photography studio will be up until we make the big move. But yes, Santa Clause is still going to be here. If the house sells, we will just set up at a new location. There are a lot of clients that still have images on file that they have not been able or just haven’t taken the time to purchase. I will have a few special options for those images that you can help you take care of that. Email me for a special list of the options for purchasing those files. Anything can happen in a move and I can’t guarantee files over a year old. BUT, Right now, I think I can locate all of my archived sessions and have them backed up in storage. You will have the option to purchase digital files and/or prints from any older sessions. (Even ones that you have previously purchased placed orders from) This deal will not last forever, so contact me to find out the details, questions or concerns.

I don’t plan to spread a lot of details about our private life on social media, so email, text or PM me with questions or concerns. You are welcome to share this info with other clients and friends that haven’t gotten the word!
