More adoptions!!
We are so happy for these lovely families and their new kitty additions!
Grayson: A week ago today out very own adopter coordinator, Carina, and her partner, Ryan, adopted our very special boy Grayson!! This boy had been the longest resident at the shelter, and now has a home and humans to love and cherish him - and two kitty sisters!
Cleo & Pepper: Pepper and Cleoâs adoption is truly one of happy endings! Cleo came to us first, and is a very shy but sweet 6 month old girl. A few days later, Pepper came in, an energetic and bold 3 month old. The two became fast friends and this lovely couple, as well as their kids, fell in love with the pair. Now the two get to live out their lives with lots of love and attention TOGETHER!
Snickers: Our first November adoption!! Lil miss Snickers found her perfect forever home. This family is ready to cherish this sweet girl and give her lots of love. Her fluffy, sassy, sweet, and affectionate personality caught their eye quickly, and they decided sheâd be their perfect new addition. We thought so too! Congrats to Snickers!

The cats of HSAR were super busy this past weekend helping some of our amazing volunteers host an impromptu yard sale in the shelter parking lot!⊠The cats put together a pricing list that included lots of wand toys, cat treats, toy mouses, and rolly balls⊠After some mediation, cats and volunteers decided to go with âfree with donationâ on most items!
This event came together in literally about a day thanks to the very hard work of Don, Mike, Connie, Sue, Judy B, Pam, Eileen, Chuck, and Kim.. They successfully raised $800!
We cannot thank our community enough! Your kindness and generosity, at literally a momentâs notice, continues to allow us to care for cats looking to begin their next best life in their forever homes!

Nina, Nora, Noelle, and Blackjack are asking why they have had no interested adopters asking about them..
This is a HSAR 2nd look at these adorable 6 month old kittens who are all things playful and chaos. They love their toys and donât throw those grocery paper bags away! These guys love a good game of pounce! And donât forget the squeaks! Whatâs a kitten without a toy mouse?! They are also agile (Okies, they might be more like careening fearless CATapulters) climbers who would love a good cat tree! Theyâre also known to spend a lot of time peeking out doors and windows gossiping about the neighbors, so good safe windows and doors are a huge plus! They love their food and Temptations and Friskies Treats and use their litter boxes with impeccable manners.
These kittens spent their most formative early weeks with little to no time around humans and are on the shy side, which is why we are requesting they be adopted in pairs, to lessen fear and social anxiety. They have, however, formed a close bond with their foster mom, so are very capable of forming trust and loving relationships with people. Nina, Nora, Noelle, and Blackjack ask if there is a person or persons willing to be their family and let them continue to grow into the confident and loving cats they are? If you can open your heart and home to them, please reach out to our adoption coordinator at: 781-534-4902

We know in these tough economic times, people are struggling with everyday necessities. HSAR is lucky to have a modest cat food bank to assist, backed by donations from our generous community.
If you or someone you know is struggling to feed their cats, we encourage you to reach out confidentially to HSAR at:
Being a good community is being a kind community and seeing no creature goes hungry. Donations of unopened cat food of all types are greatly appreciated, as well as tax deductible monetary donations.

Nigel enjoys a lively conversation⊠but fair warning.. he can be a conversation hog!

Could Theo be short for Theodoros, Greek Origin for âGodâs Giftâ? Theo is a modest boy who isnât interested in deity status. This sweet, gentle boy is 2 years old and would be a great fit for any home! He is cat and people friendly with a beautiful medium length tabby and white coat. After initially being a bit reserved, he is enjoying pets and attention and likes to watch shelter action thru the door to rm 5.

Grayson is asking if there is anyone who can take a 2nd look at him and possibly share him on FB. This 2-3 year old boy spent some tough times on the streets of Dorchester before finding his way to HSAR. He is handsome and mysterious and working so very hard to be his best version of himself..
Paula, one of our volunteers, and Graysonâs biggest fan, has worked tirelessly with him, building a bridge between his guarding and hyper vigilance to trust. She has this to say about Grayson: âGrayson is so appreciative of all attention.. He will greet you at the door with meows and soft eye contactâŠHe absolutely adores all his toys, including wand toys, scratching posts, rolling balls, his kitty tunnel, and cat tree⊠After play time he loves rest time on his soft rug or up on an elevated surface like the cat treeâ Grayson continues to surprise and amaze us in his journey to adoption, with his cute playing and plopping and sprawling at our feet.
This keenly intelligent and observant enigma needs a person or persons who understands that contact and interactions are on Graysonâs terms and he currently only allows brief petting though he may initiate contact with you by winding himself around your legs. He can turn defensive quickly. He will do best in an adult only home with no other cats.
Paula goes on to mention routine is extremely important to GraysonâŠEntering a shift with wet food in hand is the way to his heart.. and then you can swap out dry food and water bowls and tidy his area. After eating is play, and then rest time!
If you think you can be person or persons that can provide a stable and loving home to Grayson, we invite you to meet him during open hours Saturdays 2p-3P and Mondays 6p-7p.
You can reach out to our adoption coordinator at: 781-534-4902, for any questions!

Ashton says his last name ought to be Ewing or Carrington because his name sounds like an 80âs soap opera⊠He says he wears silver better than Blake, Jock, or Clayton (if you know them you know them!).
Distinguished? â
Elegant? â
Handsome? â
Our Ashton is a sleek, friendly, playful, medium furred silvery blue male of 1 Year..if youâd like to give this gentleman his own mansion (he will tell you any home will be a mansion to him as long as it has his family there!) please come meet him at HSAR open hours on Saturdays 2p-3p or Mondays 6p-7p!
If you have questions please reach out to our adoption coordinator at: 781-534-4902!

Boss Man Paddy, OC (office cat) and SNOOPervisor Extraordinaire, takes his job seriously.. and he says we need more cat food! Wet and dry, kitten and adult.
Paddy, being Paddy, decided to help us out by going room to room and taking requests from the other kitties⊠After crossing off 15 requests for Temptations Crunchy Treats and 8 requests for Churros Lickable Treats and educating the kitties on nutrition, we are left with we are so very grateful for whatever our amazing community gives us! We are in need of canned food and dry, unopened food!
This is a shameless pull for Paddy as well, who should be SNOOPervising in his own home! Heâs a fabulous boy, even when in âtime outâ in the bathroom for stealing food off the kitchen counter ⊠yes, thatâs him pleading his case under the bathroom door!
08/23/2024
Blaze has told us all the toys are his.. Whether they are bigger than him doesnât matter! He loves a good wand toy and knocking things like water and food bowls over.. He tells us itâs âgrowing painsâ.
Meet Blaze, a dynamo who lives up to his name and is a fireball of energy and cuteness! This ginger boy is all things kitten chaos and loves to play and eat and then play more! He will thrive in a home with lots of interactions and toys and space to grow.
If you think Blaze is a good fit for your family, and have an abundance of wand toys for him, please come meet him this Saturday 2pm-3pm or Monday 6pm-7pm during HSAR open hours. Please reach out to our adoption coordinator at: 781-534-4902!

Bria told us lavender brings out her eyes! We do agree but she rocks this lavender collar to help distinguish her from her nearly identical sibling, Louie!
Meet Louie and Bria who are sweet and spice and everything nice! Bria is all things sweet and adores snuggling with people. Louie brings the spice to this bonded duo and prefers getting to know people thru playing rather than petting until he gets to know you.
Both eat like the growing kids they are and are Olympic style champs at playing. If youâd like to meet this lively duo, please come to open hours at HSAR this Saturday 2pm-3pm or Monday 6pm-7pm. If you have questions you can reach out to our adoption coordinator at: 781-534-4902!

Sophia will tell you a lady should never be asked her age⊠So we will offer it up front⊠This lovely senior calico is 11.. She is sweet and timid and unsure of other cats⊠She enjoys the quiet and peace of small spaces, especially hideaways in cat trees. Senior kitties are just the absolute best and so grateful for a family that will give them a home in their twilight years!
Sophia will also tell you a ladyâs weight should never be mentioned! She is a bit, ahem, âfluffyâ, but she will tell you she is just full figured!
If you can offer Sophia a quiet forever home please come meet her at HSAR during open hours Saturdays 2pm-3pm and Mondays 6pm-7pm.
If you have any questions, please reach out to our adoption coordinator at: 781-534-4902!

Garfield understands he is named after an icon and takes that responsibility seriously! This ginger boy is all things sweet and mischievous, just like his namesake.
He is playful, social, people and cat friendly, and wouldnât some orange-tan coloring brighten your home? At 9 months old, he is a perfect blend of energy and chill!
If you think Garfield is a good fit for your family, come meet him at HSAR open hours on Saturdays 2pm-3pm and Mondays 6pm-7pm!
Reach out to our adoption coordinator at: 781-534-4902.

Is every girl still crazy about a sharp dressed man? (credit ZZ Top)âŠMeet Kingsley! Heâs not a classic tuxedo kitty but we think his unique look gives him a roguish charm!
Kingsley has struggled to feel safe at HSAR and spent several days frozen in fear, hiding in corners facing the wall, and under blankets.
After initially not eating for several days, he now gulps down food so fast itâs gone in 3 mouthfuls. Itâs very sad imagining his life before HSAR when he worried his food would disappear if he didnât gobble it as soon as it appeared.
Kingsley is ever so grateful for attention, showering volunteers and visitors with head butts and cheek rubs, but does exhibit some vocal anxiety. Volunteers are working with him, giving him lots of love and reassurances, as well as extra food to alleviate some of his food fears. We expect he will respond well to this.
If you think Kingsley is a good fit for your home and you can be his soft spot to land, please come meet him at HSAR or reach out to our adoption coordinator at: 781-534-4902.

HSAR started as an active trap/neuter/release (TNR) program to address the large feral cat colonies in our community. We have made incredible progress and today, thankfully, Hull has way fewer feral cats as a result.
HSAR is a nonprofit, no-kill cat shelter that relies solely on donations, grants and fundraisers. We are a volunteer run organization that rescues and finds forever homes for stray, abandoned, and otherwise helpless cats and kittens. We are located in the heart of a small town and feel #blessed to have such a wonderful community behind us.
Each cat that comes to us is checked by a veterinarian, spayed/neutered, and provided with tons of TLC. Our adoption coordinator then finds the best possible match so that the kitty & adopter are both happy and content.
We recently purchased a forever home of our very own. We are so proud to be able to continue the work we do in a space that works a bit better and to finally know the feeling of finding a forever home too. We try to have our cats free-roaming and comfortable when they are waiting for their forever home to come along.
Hull Seaside Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization.
