Our hearts are very heavy with the news of this past weekend. We would like to take this moment to remind everyone how important it is to microchip your pets and keep the information up to date always. If you want your pet chipped, please send us a message, the shelter does this for free!! Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone and all the animals during this difficult time. ❤️‍🩹

PLEASE HELP US!

We are in need of generous donations of pet food & supplies to go to Kerrville today!

We have approximately 15 vehicles ready to load with generous drivers ready to Male the drive. Thank you all who are driving!

We now need donations to fill those vehicles and get needed supplies to the people and animals in Kerrville!

Please, if you can, consider picking up an extra bag of pet food, a bottle of bleach, or even a toy. Every single donation helps give comfort, safety, and a sense of normalcy to animals who have lost everything.

Together, we can show Kerr County that they are not alone.

We will be out at Valley Ranch Sports Clips today from 10-2 with a few of our adoptable dogs. Come out and see us!! Mowgli, bo**er, and dollar will be out there!

We have kittens, and they need homes! All of the kittens you see in these pictures are available for adoption today! Spay/neuter and vaccinations will be covered through vouchers at Texas Litter Control!

We picked up this sweet boy off the street a few days ago. He was feeling a bit under the weather, so we took him to the vet, where they confirmed that he is FIV positive. FIV poses no inherent danger, as transmission is only possible through bites to other cats, and with proper care, FIV+ cats can live a full and healthy life. This handsome boy is very calm-mannered and sweet towards people. However, since he is FIV+, he can’t be housed with other healthy cats.

Due to this, we’re looking for someone to adopt him where he will be an only cat, someone who owns other FIV+ cats, or looking for a rescue group for FIV+ cats that can take him. Please help us spread the word!

TONIGHT!!! Come out and celebrate with us at Green Oaks Tavern in Humble from 5-8 pm! There will be adoptable animals, raffle items, cake and a great time. Plus Lifeshare will have a blood donation bus set up outside. It's going to be a great time - see you there!

UPDATE: Owner has been found!

This girl was found laying in the ditch in the rain off Rankin Rd. No microchip. She’s currently at the vet being assessed for any further injuries. Her name at the moment is Louise. If she is yours, please contact us. If you would like to make donations to her vet exam and any medical needs please contact Friends of the Humble Animal Shelter
