Meet the camper of the month for December, Bijou!

Hello there, my name is Bijou! I am a bichon-poodle mix and I just turned one year old! I have been coming to Greenlin Hershey for daycare since July of this year. I just love coming to Greenlin to play with all of my friends! One interesting fact about me is that I was born completely blind! Although it can be hard to navigate the world sometimes, I’ve never let it stop me from exploring, having new experiences, and having fun! I’ve even learned how to go up and down the stairs! At daycare, I get to hang out in the playroom all day with my friends and have gotten really good at navigating the room! Other than daycare, my favorite place to visit is my aunt's house because I get to hang out with her and my uncle! One of my favorite games to play is fetch! When my mom and I play at home, I know how to find the toy based on the sound it makes when it hits the ground. If it's soft, it's on the carpet, if it's hard, it's on the wood floor! If I could have a perfect day, I would spend it playing with my toys and my mom, taking a long nap on my mom lap, and of course having a visit from my favorite aunt! As much as I love to play, I love treats just as much! Some of my favorite treats are himalayan yak chews and Blue Bits! Thank you so much for reading about me! I’m honored to be Greenlin's dog of the month!

Meet the staff spotlight for December, Lauryn!

Lauryn has been a part of the team here at Hershey for about 3 months now! She has 3 pets at home, 2 dogs, Trey and Blue, 1 cat named Kobe, and a leopard gecko named Leo! Trey is a 3 year old beagle mix, and Blue is a 2 year old dalmatian. Kobe is also 3 years old, and Leo is about 7-8 years old! Lauryn’s favorite activities to do at work are playing chuck-it with the dogs out in the yard and doing puppy academy! One thing she enjoys about working with dogs is getting to know each of their unique personalities! Her advice for any new team members would be to always ask about something if you're not sure, and give yourself lots of grace. Outside of work Lauryn enjoys spending time with her animals, family, and friends, as well as pursuing hobbies like baking, crafting, and DIYs! She has an affinity for wildlife/nature and would love to expand her animal knowledge by getting into dog training, animal rehab, or canine nutrition! Her greatest accomplishment in life is her perseverance and personal growth over the past few years. Three qualities that define her are her creativity, empathy, and dedication! We are honored to have Lauryn join our team here at Hershey and can’t wait to see what else she can do!
