Zoey's new beginning. Second Chance Equine Association Alumnae
🐎From a Feed Lot Heading to Slaughter to a Beautiful Life and a New Beginning 🐴
We love seeing updates from our adopters! Here is our Zoey girl living her best life and running with her new brother Bossman. We couldn't be any happier about her happy ending and new beginning. She is thriving and enjoying life getting to just be a horse. Thank you Crystal for making her a part of your family and for giving her the life every horse deserves.

Just a few months ago, Zeke was untouchable. Look how far he’s come!
Don’t miss your last chance to see our trainer in action tonight at the fair. Visit our booth at 6pm! ♥️🫶🏼
Each day, our volunteers engage in small but meaningful activities with Zeke, such as walking, brushing, and putting on his halter. We truly cherish these moments with him.
Building trust with a horse is a gradual process. While Zeke has made significant strides since his rescue, he still has some distance to cover. Witnessing his progress is truly rewarding.
Zoey is learning to get on and off the trailer ! Positive reinforcement with the treats as well 🥰
Embrace the power and beauty of these amazing animals 💚
Zeke isn't at ease with human touch, so our trainer is gently guiding him to feel more comfortable. By petting him and then easing off, rewarding him along the way, we're seeing progress. However, rebuilding trust will take time. We're committed to doing whatever it takes to support him on this journey.
Meet Zeke, once only known as #165 from Sugar Creek Auction. Two weeks. That’s how long he’s been in our care. That’s also how long it’s been taking him to want to trust another person. ❤️🖤

30 days in with Smackdown the "untouchable" Gypsy cob.
Hi 👋🏼 my name is Fancy and I was one of SCEA's poster children! I was rescued in 2008, malnourished and in terrible condition. I suffered from malnutrition, parasites, rain rot, and a huge distrust of humans.
At the quarantine barn i was treated and able to heal from all of my health problems. I must of been really special because my trainer, Scott Downs, adopted me. With his guidance I've come so far. My life is so amazing now that my bad times have become distant memories ❤️
I am now living my best life enjoying the sun on my face, and the company of my brothers and sisters ❣️
Don’t let your horse fear the training stick. Use it to train, but also reward. Want to learn more? Our horse trainer, Scott Downs will be giving a FREE demo on Saturday at 12:00. Address is: 1140 Thermo Village Road, New Stanton PA 15672
