Little giggle to kick start your weekend!
Come on, It’s so funny because it’s so true. Cones have two purposes. One to keep your pup from getting an infection or removing surgical stitches. The other is to keep away secondary infections from the dog licking an open wound.

We could say the overuse of your phones ,especially in the company of others, can cause you to be disconnected but also a secondary infection from those around you, like family or friends, feeling less than important

Try putting the phone away this weekend or create a reasonable boundary so you can and present with those you love.

Friends make everything better! -Wi******er & Ted

The little one, Wi******er, lost his fur brother two weeks ago. My heart broke when I heard the news. I was too sick to go say goodbye and I will never forgive myself because he was the last of the Canine to Five OGs. Dutch was the coolest dude around, always willing to let his mom dress him up in epic Halloween costumes because he knew how much it brought her joy. Always making sure his little fur brother was keeping up with the pack. If not, he would create a diversion to stall us so Wi******er could catch up. He always made sure everyone was in a calm mindset because he knew how much it would help me have a successful walk. Always bringing joy to neighbors he passed or horses he would visit. He was a dog, the best dog.

Today was my first visit since and I was excited to see Wi******er because I had an old friend, a friend I knew would lift his spirits. This was their little walk together filled with so much joy. I hope you enjoy a little snapshot into our time together and remember…. A friend will make everything better.

It’s that time of year again and we want to send a gentle reminder to our community that more pets go missing between July 4-6th than any other time of year. Noisy fireworks are stressful for dogs so please take heed!!

**Make sure your pets are properly secured inside your home.
**Do not bring them with you to the fireworks display unless they are on a leash and unbothered by the sound.
**Additionally, this the perfect time of year to make sure your dog’s tags and chip information are current, in the event of an emergency.

With July 5th often being the busiest day for shelters each year, any measure to ensure a quick reunion of lost pet to owner should be taken.

From all of us at Canine to Five, we want to wish you a joyful, safe, and relaxing 4th of July with family, friends, and of course, your happy pups.🐕‍🦺❤️🦮
