Are you the happiest when you are with dogs? Do dogs truly bring you joy? If yes, your dream job is waiting for you at Canine to Five! We are hiring dog lovers to join our premier pet care service in Baltimore Couny. We are looking for full-time (Monday through Friday) and part-time walkers (Tuesdays & Thursdays w/ Every Other Friday or Mondays and Wednesdays w/Every Other Friday)

We currently have routes available in Ruxton and the Greenspring Area. Other opportunities too. As a walker, you must be highly reliable, detail oriented, passionate, self-motivated, pleasant to work with, caring, committed to outstanding customer service, hardworking, outdoor loving with a soulful heart wanting to be a part of an amazing team. Pack leadership training will be provided. Vehicle and proper walking attire required.

Walking includes morning & mid-day pack walks during the week. Pet Sitting is upon your availability.

Benefits include:
• Pay every 2 weeks.
• Liability & Bonding Insurance coverage.
• Full schedule & Flexible scheduling

Desired Qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree or Working towards a Bachelor Degree.
• At Least 18 years of age.
• Physically fit
• Have a reliable gas efficient vehicle and valid license/ insurance.
• Have a smart phone
• Tech Savvy to use software for scheduling, instructions, and tracking your pay.
• Mature, professional, extremely dependable.
• Enjoy being outside (dogs need to be walked even in the rain and snow)
• Organized and work well independently.
• Flexible in terms of scheduling (cancellations due to customer trips)
• Comfortable with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments
• Willing to submit & receive a background check.
• Long Term Commitment.

Additional Information:
• Compensation: $15.00 per Household hour walk. 15-20 Dogs daily schedule. Full Time $550-800 a week. Part Time: $250-300 a week.
• Availability: Full-time or part-time

I need the whole world to know…. I need to scream it from every mountain top, from every corner of the earth. My luck 🍀 is on the rise. It has been a life long search to find my 4 leaf clover. After, let’s say 37 years (because I probably didn’t start searching until I was 7) it happen. I mean there has been so many close moments but never my time till today. This is Duke! He’s been in this position since returning home from an early morning pack walk. He’s in a relaxed, stable state of mind which benefits Duke and his owner. Let’s all be like Duke! Here’s how you do it…

Your goal is to provide not just physical exercise for your pup, but also mental stimulation too. One benefit of our pack walks is the social interaction with other pups BUT as their pack leader, you too can interact as a means to keep them engaged. The technique: Discipline Leadership Walking.
***Using a short six ft. leash, try to keep your dog to one side of you (I call this “spot”.)
***Always have them beside or behind you when walking, never in front.
***Walk at a calm, steady, brisk pace. Try not to allow your pup to stop and sniff.
***Practice using the command, “LEAVE IT” when distractions on your walk arise.
***Make eye contact when rewarding good behavior.

I have never been able to stay awake for the Oscar’s but this year I was too excited to see if my favorite movie of, now all time, would win! Well IT DID!!! If you have not seen it, ITS A MUST DO! The potcake dog is a mixed-breed dog type found on several Caribbean islands. Its name comes from the congealed peas and rice mixture that local residents traditionally eat, as the overcooked rice that cakes to the bottom of the pot would be fed to the dogs.
