Research shows that adoption fees can sometimes be a barrier to finding homes for shelter pets. According to studies, fee-waived adoptions offer numerous benefits and do not compromise the quality of care or the bond between adopter and pet. Here are some key findings:

Maddie’s Matchmaker Adoptathon: The majority of pets adopted with waived fees remained in their homes, with high attachment levels reported by adopters and quality of life not compromised.
