Did you know.... studies indicate that obese pets may live up to 2.5 years shorter than their non-obese counterparts. Regular veterinary check-ups, balanced diets, and routine exercise are essential in helping pets maintain a healthy weight and achieve a longer, healthier life.

✨ Meet the Team Tuesday ✨

Introducing Cameron!

When Cameron was growing up, she spent most of her summers with her grandmother, who lived on a lot of land with a barn. As is often the case, that barn became a safe haven for countless cats, which Cameron would feed every morning as part of her daily chores. Being able to spend time with all of those furry friends sparked a love of animals that would continue to grow as Cameron got older. Today, as a customer service rep here at Hambright Animal Hospital, Cameron has turned her passion for pets into a career!

Cameron was introduced to the veterinary industry by her sister, who has worked in the field for more than fifteen years. When a spot opened up at the clinic her sister worked at, Cameron jumped at the chance to get her foot in the door. After recently moved to Charlotte, Cameron knew she wanted to stay in the industry, so she joined the Hambright Animal Hospital team in May of 2023. Professionally, she enjoys building relationships with clients and earning the trust of their beloved animal family members.

Outside of work, Cameron is happily married and mom to a young son. She also has one fur baby of her own – an orange tabby named Triscuit. In her spare time, Cameron enjoys reading, traveling, and attending concerts.

📢 ALERT: IMPORTANT MICROCHIP INFORMATION 📢

Save This Life microchip company is no longer in service. If your pet received a microchip from us from August 2015 to December 2022, please read below! 👇🏻

✅ Your pet's microchip number is still active, but your contact information will no longer be accessible through Save This Life. This could make it nearly impossible to reunite with your pet if they go missing. 😢

🚨 Urgent action required! It is critical that you re-register your pet with another microchip company. There are several great options available. If you're not sure which company your pet is registered with, we recommend using the AAHA microchip lookup tool. (https://www.aaha.org/for-veterinary-professionals/microchip-search)

🔍 Our hospital currently uses Home Again for microchipping and registration, but we encourage you to choose the company that best fits you and your pet’s needs. *(If you need the Home Again link, you can find it here: https://www.homeagain.com/create-account)*

Here’s how you can re-register your pet:

1️⃣ Find your pet's microchip number by:

Logging into your pet's portal
Using the microchip tag provided
Call our hospital
OR bring your pet into the hospital to get them microchip scanned 🏥

2️⃣ Use the microchip number to re-register with the company of your choice.

We’re here to help! If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to text, email, or call us. We're happy to assist you! 💬📞

✨ Meet the Team Tuesday ✨

Introducing Brittany!

Brittany knows firsthand the deep bonds we share with our animal companions. She’s always wanted to help nurture those connections for others. Working in the world of veterinary medicine allows her to do just that! Brittany is a proud member of Hambright Animal Hospital’s Client Services Representative team.

Born in Marion, Brittany moved to Cornelius with her family at the age of seven, and she’s lived here ever since. Her veterinary career started at a mobile practice, and when the time came to move to a clinic setting, she came across an opportunity here at Hambright Animal Hospital. Brittany joined the team in April of 2021 and hasn’t looked back since. Her favorite part of the job is talking one-on-one with clients. She could listen to fun pet stories all day long!

When she’s not at work, Brittany likes hiking, going on long walks with her dogs, and spending time with her family and pets. She and her partner, Robbie, share their lives with two dogs: Khloe, a Poodle/Chihuahua mix who loves cuddling up to watch TV with her parents, and a crazy Pit Bull mix named Mo who wants to play with anything that moves.
