Hi everyone,

In light of the recent devastating Palisades fires, Palisades Charter High School has been severely affected. Among the many losses, the band room was completely destroyed, leaving numerous students without. Many of these students come from less affluent backgrounds.

Parents and the band director reached out to the Mayor of Santa Monica for assistance. The Mayor, who happens to own a music store and is a patient of my daughter, has generously offered her help in repairing donated instruments. However, we still need your support to collect these instruments.

School is set to resume and students are currently without any instruments. We are asking anyone who may have an instrument tucked away in a closet, one that is either working or almost working to donate it to the high school.

The donated instruments will be used by the students for many years, providing them with the opportunity to continue their musical education and bring some normalcy back to their lives after experiencing such trauma.

If you have an instrument that you are willing to donate, please contact Sylvia Garrett at [email protected] or [email protected], or 714-488-3245. We will coordinate efforts to ensure the instruments are repaired, if necessary, and delivered to the students in need.
