You know the struggle !
Watching my dog slowly start to struggle to get into my SUVs breaks my heart!
I have large breed dogs and lifting them in and out takes its toll on me and them.
I had some lofty requirements ! I did not want steps or ramps that had to be stored inside the cars, that takes too much space away from the dogs or cargo area in general.
I also did NOT want to have to constantly drag them in and out of the cars when I needed them.
I wanted something that could stay attached but also be remove easily if I was switching vehicles or just didn’t want them on the vehicle if I was going somewhere without the dogs.
And last they needed to be 2 steps one starting lower to the ground.
I finally found these and they are seriously freaking perfect!!!!!!
If you have a tow hitch, you will love these !
I searched for weeks and returned a lot of steps until I found these !

Socialization
New 5 month old Board and Train Mookie (grey/white) came in nervous with the dogs. He had only been socialized with the 14 year old dog he lives with. We acclimated him with 2 super mellow dogs then brought Big George out. 😜Leashing George allows us to give Mookie space and freedom from play when he needs it. He can then be confident to move back in for play. He acclimated quickly and we will continue to advocate for Mookie until he builds a lot of confidence in play. If he were to get pummeled this early is socialization, it could easily send him into fear/insecurity and defense. Mookie is having a blast. So happy George was a good match for him this quickly. I am 5’ tall and about 98lbs - probably goes without saying, this guy has to walk amazing on a leash, not be reactive, and not do dumb dumb stuff like take me down by crossing in front of me.
Well, he is doing fantastic learning and implementing a nice chill walk with me among all of his other training - EVEN with our drone following behind us. That’s a huge distraction and he has quickly let go the urge to take it out with one chomp. 😂
What I’m getting at, hard not to add him to my family ! He is up for adoption so if you’re looking for a seriously solid dog with loves other dogs has shown zero reactivity or aggression toward people and comes well trained, stay tuned, if I don’t keep him 😂, maaayyyyybe, you will be approved to add him to your home. The fosters are looking for the perfect family only.
