December 2020 I began Carousel Farm and we just completed a 4th year. Some of my clients & ponies have been with me from the beginning, others had a special place throughout the years and some new faces we welcome to see how they will touch our lives. My farm is about growth, I love teaching kids & working with ponies, each pony gives us something unique and every child challenges me to become a better trainer. I am grateful to everyone who’s been and continues to be apart of my program, I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished, we’ve really had spectacular moments that I didn’t know could be possible. We’ve accepted & grown from the low ones because that’s part of life and they have consequently made us better. Moving into year 5 has a significance to it, I no longer feel like I’m on trial, I have created something that is consistent and now established. Taking multiple tiny kids to have big wins at big venues or overcoming fears of taking next steps and celebrating their first independent trot or jump. What makes Carousel Farm special to me has been the positive impact I’ve had the privilege of making to a lot of kids & ponies I’m lucky to train. Thank you to everyone who has been apart of this with me, my team has been so important and I’m looking forward to progress further in 2025!! ❤️🎉🎠🎊

This post has been a long time coming for & I. Last winter we started looking for a pony for Scarlett & she had the worst experience trying a pony that we all fear of having. That one fall rightly set her confidence back and we took it slow riding our good ponies Pixie & Ginger all summer. We started ramping up the search specifically for her this fall & tried a few good ponies that eventually lead us to finding Rikki Tikki Tavi while we were in Ohio. With the quick support of Ali, Leslie & Missy we were able to try him & even show him that weekend. After confirming he is happy living with us in Long Island we can congratulate Scarlett on the lease of Tikki. We could have only wished we found him a year ago. He and Scarlett have bonded quickly and we are thrilled to add him to our team. Thank you .janiak_oxford.farm & the help of allowing us the opportunity with this beautiful pony. We can’t wait to get showing & keep this talented kiddo on track. 😍🎠❤️🎉

Welcome Sambuca!! Sammy made for a wonderful birthday ride for today!! This fancy pants hunter has shown all over the country and is now ready for the good life to take care of Ali & be spoiled in every way. We look forward to learning from him over the next few months and hope he becomes a permanent member of the family for one final last name change. Thank you for sending him our way!! Horse showing… just can’t make it up. What transpires in a weekend has the ability to put you on cloud 9 or question every sense of reality and this one did both.
We went into this weekend excited to move up and what was in the best interest of our pony & kid proved it wasn’t the right call this time. Pony riding teaches us patience, humility, and demands confidence which when pulled off is an incredible accomplishment.
What we can take away is Addison & Teddy winning the Limit 2’ Flat and then earning Champion in the crossrail eq with 3 class wins & two 2nd placings. Addison displayed incredible poise showing the judge why she deserved to push the limits this weekend leaving the show a winner.
Ellie is on a whole other journey and her heart pony Phoenix thinks big venues are a bit overwhelming. We strategically chose to bring Misty in as her teammate this time and it couldn’t have been more adorable. Ellie had beautiful trips and Misty is the best gift I could have ever received to share with my kids.
Scarlett and ponies.. we’ve been on the search and we’ve been picky, we’ve worked with incredible trainers & grateful for their understanding as we do what’s best for their ponies and this kiddo. Fingers crossed this tiny marshmallow is just perfect for Scarlett.
your willingness to embrace this sport and commitment to your kids success is extraordinary. Thank you for rallying through this weekend and let it only make us stronger. ruri you’re first big show and you killed it, your consistent positive energy and hard work means so much to me to have you on my team. You learned a lot and you loved it and that’s all part of our ability to be successful together.
I hope our journey can inspire others to never give up, put the pony first and appreciate being able to horse show… cause you just can’t get this on a golf course. 🩵

& I had a really fun day together !! Team Addison & Teddy finished champion in both the short stirrup eq & hunters with some really nice riding she was proud of. The 2nd show for team Scarlett & Percy and they are really cute together!! Team Ellie & Phoenix are my favorites watching them become better and better each show. As much as it was a yellow & white ribbon day for the littles they both were really great and they are recognizing how competitive horse showing really is!! We finished the day winning CUTEST COSTUME with the pack of Minons put together- well done girls, we always finish the day focusing on the positive & there was a lot to be excited about! Next stop 🚚😍🌟

I never grew out of loving ponies. The thing about ponies as feisty as they can be is when they let you get it right, you know they really love you and love what they do with you. These kids are too tiny to control a pony from ability itself, a magical pony will give them their freedom when they are loved and understood. ❤️🎠

Our lease with the famous Pixie Dust is sadly coming to an end and although we snagged her back once already I do think her work here is done with . Pixie is a unicorn, she decided when all these girls were ready to canter and gave them immense confidence from huge leadline wins, walk trot champions, first canters, first crossrails, first courses and even the occasional lead change when she’s feeling spunky. Scarlett Calame gave Fox in Socks the best farewell ride. As today finished our lease with Ginger, Scarlett earned nice ribbons in the Walk Trot !! We reminisced about everything Ginger did for us this summer. She gave Addison more confidence jumping courses, she taught Ellie how to canter in May and then let her jump around the short stirrup at the Hampton Classic at the end of August. She & Scarlett earned so many walk trot ribbons at every show & kept her safe cantering at home plus jumping first xrails. I know we can’t keep all the ponies but, I am going to miss Ginger a lot, she’s an incredibly special pony. Thank you & what a blessing for these sisters to share this special pony. ❤️❤️❤️

After an amazing Hampton Classic Horse Show we completed a light week of lessons letting the ponies have some deserved down time. I can’t believe summer break is over, It feels like last week we were gearing up for Pony Camp to begin. My kids grew so much this summer, they all hit their goals we made together. The ponies were just fantastic every single day, we are so lucky to have such a great group. We learned at every show how to become even more competitive for the next one. The kids cheered each other & myself on with celebrating the highs and supporting each other’s lows. Congratulations to all the Carousel Kids, you guys are a super cool bunch and I wish you the best school year and plenty more pony riding to be had!! ❤️🎠🥰
