"Hi, I'm Eden! I don't often do this "online" thing but I'm giving it a shot!

I'm about 1 year old and 50 Lbs.

I've been on the market for a few months now. A classy, southern gal like me is very picky about my future and what that's going to look like. I do not want anyone in my life who won't treat me like the queen I am. And so therefore, I'll tell you what I'm looking for!

Im looking for a home with or without a dog. I LOVE dogs SO MUCH 🐶 but if my new person/family provides me with enough time and space to exercise then I don't NEED to live with another pup. Maybe some play dates with four legged friends every so often could be a thing! 🐾

I have a good amount of energy so I either need a backyard (with a minimum 6' high fence) or someone that will walk me a lot and play with me! I need to expend my energy!

I temporarily lived with a 5 year old little girl 👧🏼 when I was first pulled from a shelter in Texas. I was excellent with her. I'd be happy to share my home with a child!

I recently went to two weeks of dog school 🏫 and learned a lot of commands like sit, stay, come, heel and down! I was an excellent student!

Do you remember Daisy, who knocks on her neighbors door with her tail, so that they will give her milkbones? Well, can you take a guess where she is that she is so excited? And no, it's not the dog park.

Sweet Daisy was about 24 hours away from being euthanized with 5 other dogs at a shelter of horrors in Cotulla, Texas. saved her life but her mama has given her the BEST life. 🥰

Lola was living on the streets in Texas, as many dogs dog. She was being fed by a kind woman who led a team of people to come together and get Lola off the streets and into safety.

For several months, Lola stayed with our friend Crystal.

From there, Lola went to stay with our good friends at Second Family Pet Service in Houston. She was treated for heartworm while there and met a lot of new people!

Today, we have the BEST news. Lola has been adopted by an amazing woman Erin. Lola has new toys, a comfy bed and SO MUCH LOVE. She's been playing and going on little adventures with her mama.

Lola is a little shy at first but she warmed up to Erin and Erin's boyfriend right away. She knows she is home. 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Welcome home, sweet Lola. You will never have to call the streets your home, ever again. You hit a home run ⚾️ with your new family and we are so happy to watch your journey. We love you so much and are so proud of you!! ❤️🐾🥰🎉

Today, Home Run Hounds Animal Rescue, Inc. had the honor of spending time with some great people who all donated their time and effort for a rescue dog!

Eden is the most affectionate, playful, fun-loving dog you could ever meet. We pulled her from Barc Shelter Houston so that she wouldn't be euthanized. We knew that her leg was deformed but, really...so what???

Eden stayed in Houston for a bit and she saw a well known orthopedist who does NOT recommend a surgery. Her leg deformity is probably due to an old fracture. She was likely a little puppy living on the street and was hit by a car.

We brought her up to NY after some time in Texas.

Walking "funny" is Eden's normal. She doesn't just "get by", she THRIVES. She RUNS FASTER than any dog you put her next to. To be honest, her deformed leg adds to her character. She does not take life too serious and her personality shines bright. 🌟🌟🌟

➡️⚾️With the help of Pete Alonso of the NY Mets his wife Haley, their family and some special dog trainers who donated their time, Eden learned and perfected manners over the past two weeks. She knows "sit", "stay", "come", "down" and "heel".

Eden is up for adoption! She is around a year old. Vaccinated, spayed and well mannered. 😊🥰💕

Eden is in the northeast and has two foster families who love her very much.

Home Run Hounds Animal Rescue, Inc. does not just save the lives of the "easy" dogs. We save the lives of those with orthopedic injuries, heartworm and some that have behavioral issues we feel can be improved. We root for every dog, especially the underdog.

Today our friend and petsitter, JIll, brought our babe Sully to the vet to be retested since having his heartworm treatments a few months ago.

Sully is so happy because he is now testing negative! 🎉🎉🎉

Pupdate!

Thank you, again, to everyone who donated for Cornelius. As you know, his owners left him behind when they moved.

We collected enough money for his vaccines, heartworm and f***l testing plus neuter. He has an appointment with a vet and is with a temporary foster, doing well.

🆘 Friends, your help is NEEDED!!!!!!!!! One of our fosters in Texas found this mama and her three puppies (two black and one chocolate) WHO WERE DUMPED on the street.

🆘 They NEED medical care!!!!!

Right now, she is feeding them but they need vaccines, dewormer, heartworm testing.

‼️One needs medical help for his tail. Please see picture.

In December, it was Penelope's turn to be euthanized at Barc, one of the many over-crowded shelters in Houston.

She was 8 months old at that time. Full of life and energy.

Home Run Hounds Animal Rescue, Inc. pulled her from the shelter and we had her stay with our friends at Second Family Pet Service. After a few weeks, she landed a temporary place with our very good friend Valores.

One of our adopters in Mesa, Arizona (who adopted Warren, now Helios) stepped up and offered to take Penelope in as a foster. We didn't hesitate to take Charlene and her family up on this amazing offer.

It was then that we got some more help from our friends! Elizabeth and Toni made sure that Penelope made it safely to Charlene and her wonderful family, including Helios!

Who would have known....Helios and Penelope fell in LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. Since the day Penelope arrived, Charlene and her fiancé (plus their son and grandma, too) have taken the duo on hikes and they've treated Penelope as if she was one of their own.

The even better news? Yesterday, Penelope BECAME ONE OF THEIR OWN WHEN THEY ADOPTED HER!!!!!!!! 🎉🐾💕❤️🎉🐾❤️🎉

We are over the moon and thrilled that Penelope will have the BEST LIFE EVER with this amazing family who have proven to be so much more than "adopters". They are our friends. They are a blessing to any animal who gets to be part of their family.

Welcome home, Penelope! You hit a HOME RUN ⚾️ with your new family and we could not have imagined a better life for you! ❤️⚾️🐾🎉

V***n is the most adorable husky/ shepherd mix you will ever see. She is 3 years old and around 40 Lbs.

V***n LOVES DOGS 🐶 and LOVES CATS 🐱!
She actually loves all the humans too! She gets a little fearful of larger statured men, so perhaps she was abused by one in the past. V***n loves her foster dad though- once she knows you, she loves you.

V***n is vaccinated and will soon be spayed. She is in upstate New York with lovely foster parents. She can be transported elsewhere for the right adopter!

V***n is not with Home Run Hounds Animal Rescue, Inc. but rescues need to help other rescues! We would love to help V***n find her forever home!
