Tiamat made it home last night! She is a very sweet little girl that’s full of kisses and cuddles. She kinda got beat up by her littermates so has scratches and bite marks to heal up. She’s still so beautiful! As you can tell she’s already stolen our hearts!

Well we are doing something different…. A breeder friend convinced me to co-own a Doberman with him. Crazy huh?

Introducing Tiamat!
She is a Melanistic Black that carries red and cream.

She will be a project for our daughter who which to attempt training her for service. It remains to be seen exactly what Tia’s future will hold, but she will always stay with us.

Brought this sweet little Great Dane girl home yesterday. We’ve named her Danica (the morning star). Her breeder sticks to a celestial theme with all her females so we stuck with that.

She had a great first night and all the other dogs are being very gentle with her.

Black solid piebald, single KB, carries chocolate, blue, and tanpoint.

Thank you Tammie Clouser for giving us an opportunity to love this little girl.

Took a little trip to Gainesville, Georgia with these lovely ladies. All 3 had echocardiograms done at a testing clinic as part of their breed specific testing for OFA’s. Happy to say they passed with flying colors!

For breeding purposes, the AKC and OFA recommend certain breed specific tests. For Great Danes it’s Echo, Eyes, thyroid, hips, & elbows. There are also some genetic markers and color testing that should be done. Any good breeder will have completed these things even if buying a “hybrid” of 2 or more breeds.

Danica is a black piebald carrying chocolate, blue, and tanpoint. She will be joining us in the beginning of August. She still has some growing to do!

We’ve been pretty quiet here at Sovereignty Woods. Just growing the girls up. Waiting on more testing dates. All 3 of the girls get there Echo’s towards the end of July. Still have eyes to go… Santina needs pennhip. Calypso needs everything! lol!!! We have also started work on our kennel and whelping areas! Big things to come!!!
