Trying to get rid of some inventory I’ve had sitting around. As you may know, I’m closing shop (at least temporarily) so I won’t be posting things for sale too often. Everything is formalin fixed and will come with jars except for the porcupine heads because I don’t have the right size jars for them. Prices on photos. Customer is responsible for shipping costs. Unfortunately I cannot do payment plans at this time, but I might be open to discounts if you buy multiple items. Shoot me a message!

All wets were formalin preserved and stored in 70% isopropyl alcohol. Mummified weasel was formalin preserved before being dried out. Skeletons were done using oxidation.
🚢 not included. Most wets come with jars. Coming from Alabama.

Okay I’ll be posting a few items for sale sometime tomorrow. I’ve got a bunch of projects in the works that’ll be done within the month. But as of right now, not so much going on. I’ve got a couple puppy and hamster wet specimens, as well as a few more screaming opossum heads. A few hearts from minks, mice, and hamsters. I also have a puppy skeleton and a hamster skeleton. A few small skulls (skunk, mink, pocket gopher, muskrat, and opossum). Also a few necklaces made with gemstones. I’ll take some photos tomorrow and get em posted. I’ve been slacking hardcore on keeping this page up to date.

In the works and able to be claimed early with a deposit: (all wet specimens) full body minks and weasels, fox heads, porcupine heads, a flying squirrel, and a 2-3 week old gray kitten. Maybe some other things that I can’t remember. I’ll check my dead cabinet tomorrow.

Forever screaming trash cats are making a return!

I’ve had some questions and concerns about my sourcing, so I’m making a pinned post since Facebook won’t allow me to add these details to my shop description because of character limits.

All of my products are either ethically or sustainably sourced, which means nothing I have was killed solely for the sake of selling them as an “oddity”. I buy my stillborn puppies from a friend who works with pregnant dogs. I pick up a lot of roadkill. I do buy from hunters and trappers, who are either providing meat for their families and sell me what won’t be eaten, or they’re controlling the population of a species so it doesn’t overrun an environment and kill off the vegetation that provides food for other animals, or animals that are predators that kill too many of another species or kill off the livestock of a farmer who needs those animals to provide food and money for their families. Ethically sourced is a broad term and what it means varies based on who you ask. I do my best in sourcing all my animals in a manner that is either ethical or sustainable. I don’t buy from fur farms, where animals are strictly raised in a farm environment just for their fur. But I do buy from farmers who use the animal’s body for food and I get the bones and/or organs.

It’s crazy to see how different this thing looks after less than 24 hrs of drying. I’m hoping the paws hold up and don’t shrink too much or the toes might come off. See how much cartilage is between the bones in the leg. So interesting! That’s what makes cleaning this thing difficult. You wanna get off enough flesh, but with the chemicals, it turns the flesh the same color as the cartilage, and it’s mind blowing how much cartilage is in this little puppy. Those leg bones aren’t even close to touching. And check out the paws! The bones are so spaced apart. That’s why I’m hoping the cartilage doesn’t shrink too much or those little things are gonna fall right off. I should’ve taken off less flesh so it stays together better. I didn’t realize it would shrink up THAT MUCH. But this is my first time oxidizing, and now I know what the limit of defleshing is for next time.

Little pup I’ve been working on using the oxidation method. If this one turns out looking nice, I’ll start doing more skeletons like this and post them for sale. This one will be for my personal collection since I don’t have any full skeletons yet, plus this is my first oxidation creation. 🖤

I’m going to have a bunch of new skulls ready soon. Bobcats, coyotes, raccoons, minks, skunks, and I think there’s a badger or two in the mix. Things have slowed down since my beetle colony experienced a major decline due to weather and mites. But I found a new, quick way to clean bones so hopefully I’ll be up and running again.

Sorry everyone, I’ve been under the weather for a bit and haven’t really worked on anything. I’ve got lots of skulls currently degreasing that will be posted in a couple weeks. Question: Do you prefer whitened bones or all natural?

Worked on this cutie today for a customer. She requested that I take photos of the process for her because she’s curious about how it’s done. Poking puppies with needles isn’t exactly something I enjoy doing, but I like making my customers happy with specimens they can cherish forever.
